You may choose to pick a book using both or either category. Be sure to include your cover, if using that category.
My choice would come under :2. Title or Series Word: Magic
Destiny Kills which is the first in the Myth and Magic series by Keri Arthur
Love the world-building in Kate Daniels, one of the best IMHO. I'm tempted to re-read a book for this category, but I'm gonna go with Destiny Kills too. I initially put it into a challenge months ago and keep putting it off.I'm busy this weekend, don't know if I'll get much reading in but will try to finish by Monday or Tuesday.
4th Categories (June 25):1. Cover Image: dagger/knife/sword

That's great to know! I'm already enjoying the fact that it's UF and dystopian! I LOVE dystopian fiction!!!
I just realized I started with book two...no wonder I didn't understand everything. I'm done with

Three Stars.
Kate Daniels is quite fun! I love her attitude and her heat with Curran. I can see why people like this series, it's violent, dystopian, and full of spunk. I enjoyed the idioms that Kate uses that no one else understands. What I also enjoyed reading about Formorians; I hadn't done much with Irish mythology since working on my undergrad in literature. I didn't like was that I had to read this as a PDF file on my Nook - which makes it difficult to see the breaks that the author intends in each chapter. It did spoil some of the enjoyment of the book. I'll read the next one the old fashioned way. I'm curious to know exactly what Kate is in the paranormal world.
Bring on the next categories!!!

I thought the same, otherwise I would said something Kristen. You'll just have to read Magic Bites now.
So where is the youngest Miss Shelleyrae going for school camp? Enquiring minds ie busybodies want to know. LOL
Since I knew I would be on vacation, I checked out as many ebooks as the library would let me. There wasn't much available, so I took what I could get...
Kristen, I was wondering about starting with book 2 too, but figured you meant book 1 or you don't mind reading out of order. The series does get better, so keep reading :)Nici, totally excited to hear what you think. Been meaning to get a copy of Masques for ages.
I've been totally swamped between work, birthday parties, baby showers, and late father's day celebration so haven't been reading. I'm going to start my book tonight, hope to have it finished by late Monday or Tuesday.
"So where is the youngest Miss Shelleyrae going for school camp? Enquiring minds ie busybodies want to know. LOL"She is off to Aussie Bush Camp, it's an outdoor adventure camp near Hawkes Nest on the north coast of NSW - lets hope it doesn't rain! She was so very excited to leave this morning. Her younger brothers were bitterly jealous though LOL. I also had a mid...
Sorry got interrupted got a phone call from my oldest daughter's school - she sliced her finger open and i spent 3 hours in the ER waiting to get it stitched *sigh*
On a bright note - I finished Destiny Kills (27 June) LOL
I gave it four stars - I haven't read anything featuring dragons so prominently before and I really like her mythology. It sure took my mind off the torture of waiting LOL
Hawkes Nest will be lovely, those outdoor bush camps are great for kids. Loved going to them myself, way back when.Sorry to hear the oldest Miss Shelleyrae got sliced. Hope she's OK now. And glad you had a book while being tortured with the wait.
I'm in the US too, California girl here.Finished Destiny Kills 6/27
***1/2
I enjoyed the dragon mythology too. I haven't read too many dragon books either so it was a nice change from the usual Paranormal fare. The beginning started out really promising. Destiny wakes up on the beach naked next to a dead guy, without her memory. The story was fine, but not quite as exciting as I thought it could be. An unusually large count of climbing out windows.

Good Job!! :D
Nici as soon as you are done and have posted, can you make the request for the coordinates I have inboxed you about?
i finished Masques. three stars. I am a big fan of the mercy thompson books, so i thought i would try another by this author. The intro tells us that this is actually the first book that she wrote and how, after re reading it, she would have changed a lot. I like the story line, but i can see how the changes would help. I am anxious to try the sequel.

1. Character Type: Fae/Fairy
2. Genre: Young Adult
Happy Reading!
Oh this has been a tough choice. I just won a copy of Forgotten by Cat Patrick which is YA so I think I will go with that
I'm done already - Forgotten was a surprisingly short read. The premise is really unique so I have to give the author props for that, and the storyline had a few surprises, but other than being mildly entertained by it for 2 hours or so I thought it was rather bland in terms of the writing and the characters.
I gave it 3 stars ★★★ Date finished: July 3rd

Another One Bites the Dust

I read the first book a few months back, and wasn't overly impressed. I'm glad I gave it another try. This one was a lot of fun. The interaction between the team is probably what made the book for me. Lots of great dialogue and lol humor. Hope the series continues in the upward trend.
Team - feel free to post the chips! I like your idea Shelleyrae, so go for it :)
