I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that was a very well written review, but I personally really enjoyed I Am Number Four.

Oh, of course. Thank you. Ah, awesome. May I know why?
Why I liked the book? Well, because it was different than anything else I was reading at the time. It wasn't about vampires or werewolves or anything like that. I really liked the whole concept of it, and I thought that it was really interesting. Granted, I do wish they would have had a little more action in it, but still...

Yeah, that's true. As soon as you begin to hate the characters, you also begin to hate the story. I thought that the ending was quite awesome. Mainly because it kept it open for the sequel

I didn't like the ending because it felt like the author just went 'Right, I have to put some action in this now', so he puts some mutant dogs or whatever in the story, then I felt that John's guardian (forgot his name) was a bit of an unecessary death and the author just thought, 'Oh, okay, yes I need someone to die in this story to make it a good one so lets just kill off John's guardian and wrap it up and leave a cliffhanger so I can write many more books'. Didn't like the cliffhanger either.
^^ I don't know if that made sense, but oh well.

I second that.

I was sad when Henri died, but I did feel it was necessary for John, Sam, and Six's continued journey. With Henri's death, John is now on his own without his Cepan just like Six is without hers.
(These were a few opinions I wanted to convey after reading some comments in this thread. I'm not coming down on anyone; it's good people have differing opinions! That's what makes everybody different.)
