Okay, so suggestions for August's group reads go here. My mum has made a couple of suggestions so I thought I'd add them.

I was going to do short and sweet but now I think just do anything because of my mum's kind suggestions lol. =D
I'm going to make a suggestion that we read:
or
I think I like the fact that there's no YA on this list. =D
Randomly picked from my TBR piles:
- bit of manly fantasy.
- mixing of Norse mythology and werewolf lore.
- mixing of Aztecs and fantasy.
- no idea what it is but it seems to be popular.

I bought it at the bookshop to make up a 3 for 2 deal. :p Read the other two but this one is still waiting to be read.
Chris, The Hunger Games is July's group read, plus it's a young adult book and we want adult for August.
Right-o.
Tara? Which would you prefer? If we go for the other option we need to find out who's interested in it.

I second Christine, that's been on my TBR foreveerrr, or maybe Battle Royale I need a bit of a motivational push to read that, although people may class that as a YA, with the Hunger Games.. though I don't believe it's YA at all... I'm hopefully off to do a huge book haul later so I will possibly be back with another suggestion =]
Thanks for the suggestion Neen. I have to admit, I'm also curious about Battle RoyaleAwesome. =D
Yes Tara, let us know! =D
I've seen the Battle Royale movie. Twas good but weird. I would never have classed the movie as YA, as it had a lot of gory content. Dunno about the book.

Whether you want a group read with votes or the one where a member hosts a read for a month and readers pick which book to read.

Oh that! lol (bad memory)
Well, to be honest lets do the votes , and maybe do the member hosting the month after!

Sounds good to me, so we start the member hosting (great name for it. I never thought of that lol.) in September?

Who's taking first shift? So they can start preparing already.
You should start promoting it already, Tara, to give members time to realise what's going on and why.

This one would do it. I've read it 9 times and I can't get enough!! The Lake of death languages by Carol Goodman
Okay, so one person lists about 5 or so books that they have and that they'd like to read. Then the other people that want to get involved say which of those books they'd like to read and then once a decision has been made we all read that book and have a lovely conversation about it.
You could go back and read the topic where it was posted. :p
Member hosts month's read.
Member presents other members with a list of books to choose from.
Other members choose a book to read.
Member hosts reads for the read(s) chosen.
Next month, another member hosts month's read.

No it isn't, it's completely fine. You just have to get used to Goodreads. It'll take a bit of time. It's probably doesn't help that we can't speak Dutch. =)
I apologise Iris. I was talking to Tara but a few other people got comments in between me opening the topic and actually posting my comment. Sorry for the confusion!
Okay then no young adult: I suggest:
or in english
Or if you want something more exciting and original I propose:
I loved both books! (I have soon an exam on one of them)
Okay so I've been scouring my tbr pile for adult reads and I know that I have
,
and
all near the top. So lets add those =D
I know. I'll narrow it down, I just like having a big choice to narrow it down to. I like a selection of everything. It helps with my indecisiveness lol. XD

Hmm, Poison Study was good (the rest of the trilogy is cr*p, though, and Maria V. Snyder is one of the only authors that I have on my black list!), however it is kinda YA and not really for an exclusively adult market.
