Shay (shaylyn318) What are some really hot steamy books? I just finished Modern Day Vampires Vampire 101 by Paige Tyler The story pretty much sucked but I loved the sex scenes. They were hot. Now I am wanting to read more but can't decide what I want to start.

I don't want to read something that is just sex. I want t to have the character actually have feelings for each other. I don't like S&M.

I haven't read the book you've mentioned so it really depends on what you mean by steamy... Having a look at your shelves this is what I'd be suggesting you try

- The rest of the BDB books. You enjoyed Dark Lover and they just get better... (PNR)

- Naked in Death. It's Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb. The sex scenes aren't overly detailed but because of the depth of emotion between the characters it just gets hotter as the series goes on. (UF/Crime)

- Christine Feehan's Carpathian series (vamps), Ghostwalker (para-military) or Drake Sisters (witches)

However, given that you've asked for books that push the steam factor I'd probably add:

- Marie Harte's Circe's recruits series (PNR)

- Maya Banks KGI series (Contemp)

- Sydney Croft's ACRO series (UF/PNR)

- Erin McCarthy's Fast Track series (Contemp)

- Lora Leigh's Breeds (PNR)

- Virginia Kantra's Children of the Sea (PNR)

- G.A. Aiken's Dragon Kin series (PNR)

- Pamela Palmer Feral Warriors series (PNR)

That should give you enough to check out.

Lauren (laurenjberman) I second the ACRO series and the Breeds series. Both are very steamy but have quite good stories as well.

Shay (shaylyn318) Thanks. I will look into these.

Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments Pride Series by Shelly Laurenston (Also funny) (PNR)
Mageverse Series by Angela Knight (PNR)
Novels of the Others by Christine Warren (Some more steamy than others) PNR

Sondrae Bennett | 32 comments I second the Pride series by Shelly Laurenston. Amazing amazing amazing books.

The Breed series are hit and miss with me, but my favorites (and ones I would recommend) are Dawn's Awakening and Mercury's War

Also, anything by Dana Marie Bell. I love her Halle Puma series that starts with The Wallflower but also recommend her newest (and the start of a new series)
Blood of the Maple (Maggie's Grove #1) by Dana Marie Bell

R.G. Alexander has a couple series that might interest you. The first in the series are:
Regina in the Sun (Children of the Goddess, #1) by R.G. Alexander and My Shifter Showmance (Shifting Reality, #1) by R.G. Alexander

Cathryn Cade is more sci-fi/futuristic than paranormal but you might like Tyger, Tyger Burning Bryght I've only read the first in the series, although all four books are in my TBR pile.

Other suggestions:
Hotter After Midnight by Cynthia Eden
Serengeti Heat by Vivi Andrews

Kristi Piper (kpiper10) The Inheritance by Yvette Scholl is nice and steamy...good story, too. There is a sequel, but I haven't read it yet.

Kelsey | 14 comments I just posted my favorite steamy reads on another thread. I'll post them here too.

Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost Seduce the Darkness (Alien Huntress, #4) by Gena Showalter Demon Possession (Shadow Quest, #1) by Kiersten Fay Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter, #0.5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Sin Undone (Demonica, #5) by Larissa Ione Kiss of a Demon King (Immortals After Dark, #7) by Kresley Cole Witch Fire (Elemental Witches, #1) by Anya Bast Demon's Captive by Stephanie Snow

La La | 245 comments People mention Joey W. Hill a lot and you can't go wrong with anything by Cynthia Eden. Kate Douglas is pretty good as well as the LOTU by Gena Showalter. I really like Cheyenne McCray's contemporary novels so I'm sure her paranormal has to be just as steamy.
