I know I'm probably the only one who thinks the "pearl" category is really difficult. Does anybody have any rec's?

Thanks for setting it up Michelle! I think it will be a hard one, but hey, that's why it's a challenge :-) I'd been trying to guess what the theme was going to be and was lining up some books about summer / solstice and father's day / parenthood... lol, now I'm off to trawl my bookshelves some more :-)wow, I had a hard enough time with the flowers one last month... off to find me some roses!
lol, would it be cheating if I used a different cover than the one I have on the book I have, just so it fits a challenge?

I would open our options a bit and include any book with “pearl” in the title, or authors with “pearl” in their names. Then you could have:

I just saw on Elizabeth Hoyt's Prince Trilogy - on the newer pastel covers, the ladies are all wearing pearl necklaces.

Same thing happened to me and a couple of Goodfriends. It's really cut down on my time here to only lunch, evenings and weekends, when I'm not doing other stuff.

Yesterday I spent time reading
and read about 100 pages b/f I put the book aside. Selected it b/c it has a white rose on the cover, I loved this author Across a Moonlit Sea, and I wanted to use Just Like Heaven for another challenge; however, I found the heroine scream-worthy! What a b!tch! Spoiled, vain, and ends up causing the death of a horse. I almost always find something likable with the heroine, I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I "bond" with them. Frustrated, I read a couple of reviews and found that the heroine grows and matures, but the ending is a cliffhanger. AAAGH! Though I have the next book in the series, I'm selecting something else for this challenge.
