I cried a little too- a common occurance when I read sad books. I don't think that I will read the other two books; way too sad. Has anyone read 'before i fall'? Also quite sad.

But yeah, if he's not okay we shall all have to write very angry letters to Lauren Oliver.

But..."
i totally agree with you i did exactly the same thing except not stairs, i just stormed down to the lounge. i seriously hope he's alive!!

Uhhh didn't Alex die? I don't think Lena could rescue a non-existent Alex. I mean Lauren Oliver did say his shirt had turned crimson. Which means his bodily fluids are pouring out of his body at an enormously fast rate. Which pretty much means he is going to die. He is dead there is no rescuing him. Get on the clue bus.

Maybe he didn't die.... Maybe he was brought to be cured, but then escaped before the procedure took place. However, I do think he probably died. Lauren Oliver always has someone important die in her stories.
In "Before I Fall," the main character dies at the end, right after she had 7 days to make her life right.

I totally agree with you! I cried too

In the summary of the sequel it says quote on quote, "
A future without Alex is unimaginable"

Yeah, but "without Alex" could mean he's dead, cured, prisoner... after all, Lena probably won't really know what's going on inside the city anymore. She might assume he's dead and try to get on with her life, then BAM they'll find him/he'll find them and everything will get complicated.

Alex is dead. Sorry to burst bubbles. But his shirt turned crimson!!! He lost blood at a fast rate!!! Cause and effect. They wouldn't have wanted to cure him. They most likely really wanted to kill him.

agreed

I actually feel a hollow aching in my chest for Alex and what happened to him. I need to know more! I need him back! Gosh, this book is definitely one I'll recommend.

How do you know? Have you read this whole discussion?!

ttly!

agreed. as much as i want them to be together, i loved the unpredictability of this book. i hope the trilogy ends on a sweet note though :)

yeah i cant wait to see whats in store for the next book. my expectations are really high.

If you get the special edition of Delirium there is an excerpt for Pandemonium. I think it's the first couple of chapters or so.
