Very good film! I posted my review in these forums so just click "view all" and you'll stumble across it. What I thought punctuated the realism was the actors actually played the songs live with a soul-searing passion. And the film really examines Ian's personality...both good and bad.

This seems to be a different film than the one I'm thinking of, which was shot in Budapest and deals with the underground metro system. It's spelled Kontrol...and really captures the feel of Budapest.What film are you guys discussing?
Phillip, KONTROL made my Top Ten list the year it was released, great film too!
Control is a touching biopic on Joy Division's Ian Curtis and how he was influenced by the underground metro system of Budapest.

Mike - Of course I remember Joy Division, but I didn't see this film, and somehow it passed through the theaters without me recognizing it. Thanks for clearing this up!
