I read this book when I was a teenager it belonged to my older sister and it was published in the 1980's or very early 90's. It's a YA book about a girl in America that comes home from school one day and finds out she was switched at birth with a princess from a European country. She goes and tries being a princess and falls for a reporter while trying to fit in but in the end everyone finds out she isn't the princess.
