Children's Book read to me as a child [s]

All I can remember about this bok is that it was set in Paris, and it was about a gang of children that turned sleuth - I'm sure they witnessed a robbery or were told about a robbery and took it upon themselves to investigate/solve.
The book was read to me at school as a child and I reckon it was early 70s.
I have tried periodically to find the book along with 2 others which I have been successful in tracking down - I'd be grateful for any help you can offer

Emil and the Detectives is set in Germany but otherwise matches your plot details.

Could be The Horse Without a Head, by Paul Berna. It is set in Paris, and concerns a big train robbery.

I have googled that and it is the one - thank you, however I knew it as A Hundred Million Francs - now to find it!
