Where are we for March? I can't seem to get a hold of The Snow Queen, but I could do Leviathan Wakes. Or take a month off, if someone wants that one.

I definitely don't want to do The Expanse, ugh.
I wouldn't mind doing Snow Queen but only if you don't want to do it. is it weird to have a guy listed as leading the discussion of an SF Mistressworks selection? either way, I'm fine doing it or not doing it.

yep. I change the banner from time to time to keep things fresh.
I also changed the profile picture (and have done it once previously). the idea that "science fiction" is illustrated by a straight white couple clinched in a romantic embrace annoys me. I like the picture well enough, it's retro and I love that, but I don't think we should be wedded to it as our perpetual profile image.

what month should the next series read begin? I don't mind doing it because I've been excited to read that series, unless someone else wants to.

I've read the first one, and I'll definitely be chiming in, but yes, go ahead and take it, mark.
yay, I will!

I tend to agree... but I checked and we only have one other read scheduled for October, and we usually prefer to have two.

You can Megan-I plan to read it, but I am so behind on things! I have to start a series read thread now that I think bout it....lol
So, the reads for February are More Than Human and Parable of the Sower? I'd take either - I've wanted to read Sturgeon for a long time, and I read and loved Parable of the Sower. And for once, my library has both of them!
MArk-are you wanting one? I havent been able to get parable of the sower, so I can do Sturgeon if we need to......
so sorry I wasn't able to respond in time! January was a really, really busy month for me. thank you both for putting up threads.
ok-need you guys' input...There was only one nomination this month, should we just go with that?
and I forgot about Parable being done this month and didnt do another series poll yet.
So..... Should we do the one nom, and have one of us pick the other read? or does anyone have a better idea?

Hey Maggie and mark,
I'm really sorry to do this, but I've been a bit of a flake recently - I'm trying to work full-time and finish edits on my dissertation, which has left me less available. And then my mother passed away unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago. I just don't have the resources to be a moderator right now.
I might be able to come back to it in a few months, but I wanted to give you a head's up so you weren't relying on me.
