Darren I just got it and im just confused. Never had a question like this pertaining to reading a book but can anyone offer some Tips on how to read it? Any advice I guess? Thanks

Elton Danielewski himself has said to read 8 pages of each characters narrative then flip the book & read 8 pages of the other character. Rinse & repeat!

Mike Good personally, I just plowed through it and then flipped it back over. I had to keep that news ticker in order.

Hayley I read it twice. First time through, it was the the 8 page at a time switch. Second was by reading straight through Sam, then Hailey.

Can't really say either was better. Each had it's own benefit.

Daniel Liddle If you want a really cool look at some textual analysis check out this video:

(try to skip straight to Hayles)

The sound is horrible, and you may need to watch through some dry revaluations of modes of "literacy," but it's a great talk. The first time I read the text I enjoyed it, but it was still beyond me in many ways. I saw Hayles speak last week and it made me want to go back and re-read it, if only to notice the absence of the word "or."

Ash This is actually a really valid question about this book... I did the whole eight pages of one -> eight pages of the other deal. I enjoyed it.
