Definitely Vampire Academy. Rose is just badass and isn't nearly as helpless as Bella; plus I'd take Dimka and Adrian over Ed and Jacob any day. ;)

Where do I even begin? To start, Vampire Academy would have to be my choice... Twilight was ok, but there were some things that really irritated me and only made worse when the movies came out. I also love that there was a lot of action as well as romance instead of just being obsessed with someone through the whole book and absolutely nothing else. I absolutely love the characters in VA, even the "villains". I really enjoyed twilight the first time I read it, but when I read it a second time, i started picking out things I didn't enjoy. Whereas I have read the VA series several times and enjoy it almost as much as the first time :)

Of course Vampire Academy. Richelle Mead's writing and depth into her characters is everything compared to Stephanie Meyers.
