Hey, I'm an author and my TBR pile has outgrown my bookshelves. Drat. I love to read. Since I got my Kindle, I've been able to read a lot more though. I just wish I had more time to dwindle down my bookshelves.Debra Ullrick
How exciting to have Rainelle (Rainee) Victoria Devonwood, the heroine from The Unexpected Bride a May 2011 release from Love Inspired Historical with us today.
1. Tell me the most interesting thing about you.
It was nothing that I did, but something Haydon’s brother’s had done by sending for me without telling either Haydon nor I. It is a most perplexing situation coming all the way here to discover that the man I am betrothed to knew nothing about me.. Beyond that I am a cross between the South and Dear Old Mother England.
2. What do you do for fun?
Anything that goes against the rules and snobbery of high society. Mother would have a fit of apoplexy if she heard me say that, but that is how I feel. I just loath most of those silly rules.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
Leaving the Bowens. I have quite taken to them and their charms. Well, except for Mr. Haydon Bowen. He seems at the present not very friendly. But, I shall not let that deter me from accomplishing my dreams.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
My brother Ferrin finding me.
5. What do you want out of life?
To be happily married and have a passel of children.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
To love and to be loved.
7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book?
Oh yes. I love to read romantic stories about relationships. Mother never allowed me to read them though. She deemed them quite improper although I never found anything improper about them.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would be a man. For then I would not have to succumb to all the rigid rules that society places on women. Such as corsets. Whoever invented those should be beaten thrice with the wretched contraption.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
Oh yes. A most unusual pet. Her name is Kitty, but she is not a cat. She is pink, with big floppy ears, a curly tail, and a round snout.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
Before my parents were killed. For I miss them terribly and life has not been the same since they have been gone.
