I need to read too! Didn't get much reading done last night like I usually do. Watched Elizabeth with Cate Blanchett. Great movie!

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona, I thought you were going on your own!

message 4706: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hahahaha, only 45 new since I was last on? I'm disappointed...

message 4707: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I read 2 Stephanie Plum novels last night...now I'm starting on another one.

I just wasn't in the mood for anything serious last night, so I put the Stand on hold for a couple of days.

message 4708: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) my dog woke me up at 7 this morning and I couldn't go back to sleep even though I stayed up until 3.

message 4709: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) oh...aaaaaand I might have gone to Barnes and Noble last night.

oops.

message 4710: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I only bought 1 book though!

Allison (inconceivably) I wonder how long I could keep talking to myself before I get bored?

message 4713: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) probably too long...thats kinda scary.

message 4714: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ...especially since I just answered myself.

message 4715: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yup, definitely my cue to leave for now.

message 4718: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) the Stephanie Plum books CRACK ME UP! I can't believe I've never read them before.

message 4719: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 1000 comments Fiona, you really should have someone look at your laptop. They keyboard shouldn't be acting like that, it's probably some glitch or problem or something.

When I flew to London we left at 6pm EST and arrived in London around 8am their time. We did some initial sightseeing and got to the hotel at 2pm and I was so exhausted I just wanted to sleep but our tour guide wouldn't let us. Ended up being the best decision ever. We ended up crashing that night at 7pm (it was still light out) and I slept through until 7am the next day but then I was absolutely fine.

Jessica | 1000 comments And how could Lori (or anyone) keep up with all these posts? I'm trying to stay actively involved and can't even do it!

message 4722: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments One day Italy will beat ...someone in rugby. They are getitng better every year but they came from nowhere.....later today it is the historical ireland against england in the stadium where in the past irish were shot by the english and were forbidden ever to come in the stadium again. It is only since last year that they allow the english team to play there i think. there were even problems when they wanted to play the english anthem. But Ireland won big time!

Thanks - I always manage to feel crap on Saturday - our one day of rest!
Today my son went to a BDay party and my daughter went to synagogue youth group so my hubby took me to a pub to pay up on a bet I won last night.
Now I am the happier side of more than a litre of beer and a plateful of chips so the world is a much better place :0)

The first one or The Golden Age? I just watched The Golden Age - it was fabulous and Clive Owen was dlicious as Sir Walter Raleigh.

message 4726: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I don't know...but I couldn't take letting The Stand hog my entire week...so I'm reading other stuff this weekend.

message 4727: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 1000 comments Fiona, you should have just got a Mac. That would have solved all your problems. :)

I have become such a Mac pusher ever since I got one in September, never thought I would love it this much.

message 4728: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 1000 comments Yeah, I think mine came out to $1700 but that included a 3-year warranty. The main selling point for me was the fact that you don't have to pay to put the OS on or any of the other programs, it all comes prepackaged.

And I just downloaded Microsoft Office from Limewire so no money spent there either.

message 4729: by [deleted user] (new)

Ester: the first one. I watched the second one first a few months ago.

message 4730: by [deleted user] (new)

I came back to only 32 posts. At this rate we might hit 7500 by the end of the weekend.

message 4731: by [deleted user] (new)

Allison: I'm impressed that you read 2 books last night.

message 4732: by [deleted user] (new)

Just love Clive Owen!

message 4733: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry about the bum laptop Fiona.

It scares me as I need a new computer and was thinking lap top. I think I'll stick with desktop.

message 4734: by [deleted user] (new)

I think I'm the only one here right now.

message 4735: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah! Fiona's here!!!!

message 4736: by [deleted user] (new)

How are you?

message 4737: by [deleted user] (new)

That's true. But at my work we just got new computers three months ago and I have to hit the keys pretty hard especially the shift key to get things in capitals. Which irriates me when I am actually writing a report and need proper grammer.

message 4738: by [deleted user] (new)

I am so tired and I really shouldn't be.

message 4739: by [deleted user] (new)

But it's 8: 30ish at night!

message 4740: by [deleted user] (new)

I am sure I'll get a second wind sometime shortly.

message 4741: by [deleted user] (new)

I have to laugh. There is a spider on the floor near my daughters chair and she is so scared. I better go take care of this little spider. I'll be back.

message 4742: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay everyone is safe. Spider is in heaven. Poor thing.

message 4743: by [deleted user] (new)

I think I'm going to go read. Good night!

Whenever I played it in Italy my boyfriend would always have to laugh because of the sounds. He played it too and he would recognize what was happening like that. Like if you would have them do woohoo there was a sound matching...

But aren't there so many things you can't use on Mac? I used somebody's Mac for some months and liked it but couldn't use my games and so on it.

Emilee, I am saving for a laptop as my boyfriend has one and I use that one for now but no place to put a computer as his laptop is on the desk and I want for the first time to have really a computer whatever kind for myself. Mine it has to be, completely.
