Allison (inconceivably) I have never seen True Blood, I'm excited to! It doesn't come out until May though, right?

message 4452: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hehe.

I'm so mad ICTC isn't available on Netflix :( I can't imagine why not! Its the first movie I've come across that isn't.

message 4453: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) haha, probably not. Maybe I will! I always ask for (and get) Amazon giftcards on holidays.

message 4454: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I wish we could do NetFlix. My husband has a thing against renting DVD's. Alsmost everyone I know uses it! How many can you have at once Allison? I know there are different plans.
You've never seen True Blood? You've read the books, right? All of them, or a few?

message 4455: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) All the books. We just don't have HBO

message 4456: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Oh, yeah, May.

message 4457: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) We pay like $7 a month or something, for 2 discs at a time. You can pay like $4 or something a month for 1 at a time...and it goes up as well.

message 4458: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I am impatiently waiting for Sookie #9!

message 4459: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Me too, but I guess they come out in hardback first. I discovered them late, so bought all the paperbacks. I like a set to match, so...

message 4460: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Fiona-Do you live in a house, or a flat? If it's a house, is it brick or stone, or soemthing, and does it have vines and roses growing all over it in a romantic way? I always picture English houses like that. I'd probably be disapointed...

message 4461: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I do too!!! I love when he talks to Simba in the wind. That movie came out when Shaun was 2, I think. He had Simba everything. I still remember all the words to all the songs. I love "I Just Can't Wait to be King!"

message 4462: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) The Lion King is one of my absolute favorite movies.

It came out when I was in elementary school, I still remember.

message 4463: by Kandice (new)

Kandice We have added brick to our house, and bricked our driveway and added brick pillars along the fence and at each side of the drive. There's an elephant statue on top of each of the drive pillars, and I have ivy I've trained all over the front side of the house. I completely admit to trying to make my house look the way I imagine a house in England would be, but it just loses something being here. I hate California.

message 4464: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) we have a random plot of concrete outside our ugly CARAVAN (hahaha). Thats about it for landscaping.

8)

message 4465: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I don't like very many of the newer Disney movies. I liked Tarzan, but that was the last one that really touched me. We have all the old Disney movies on VHS in our attic. I bet we'll never watch them again, but I can't get rid of them. Maybe it will be a novelty to watch tapes to my granchildren. Or something like that.

message 4466: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Ha! You called it a caravan! When you are inside, does it look like a caravan or a house. I can't believe some of the new ones look like they do. We lived in some when I was younger. 2 looked like tin cans, and one was gorgeous. Things get better and better.
Is yours in a mobile home park, or on a lot by itself?

message 4467: by Kandice (new)

Kandice My favorite Disney movie to look at is Sleeping Beauty. I guess it was originally done with pastels and that look was carried over. I think it's gorgeous and could never be improved by CGI.

message 4468: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments I have NetFlix. Right now I can't get the one attached to the cable or the one on my computer to work right. I'll get one or the other to work if I have to try to do it myself.

message 4469: by Kandice (last edited Feb 27, 2009 02:28PM) (new)

Kandice I hate when they do that too! It's not an improvement, and why did we need a new scene, anyway? Even as an adult, before I had children, I went to see every Disney movie as it came out. Now, I just don't care. I hated the one with Kusko, or whatever his name was. I think the last one I saw in the theatre was Atlantis, and it was awful. I like the fairy tales.

message 4470: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Shaun dressed up as Robin Hood a few times for Halloween. I like the music in that one a lot. The voices were great too, because they used the same actors for most of their movies at the time, you felt like they were old friends.

message 4471: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Ours is new, and really is nice. :) Just a single wide, so not big or anything, but there are only 2 of us. We live in a mobile home park.

message 4472: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Aladdin is one of my favorites. And The Little Mermaid.

message 4473: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Oh yeah! I LOVED Mulan! She made me want to go out and kick some @$$! lol.

message 4474: by Kandice (last edited Feb 27, 2009 02:31PM) (new)

Kandice I forgot about Mulan! That had great songs too. That's the problem with the newer ones. They don't make the effort with the music they used to.

message 4475: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Emperor's New Groove? Is that Kusko? Loved it!

message 4476: by Kandice (new)

Kandice My grandparents owned a mobile home park when I was little. It was mostly old people that lived there. It was so nice and everyone was super neighborly. They had a "meeting hall" in the middle and would do a lot of things as a group. I think all those old people babysat me at one point or another.

message 4477: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments I loved The Lion King, The Little Mermaid (my favorite Disney animated film), and Beauty and the Beast. I loved a lot of the older ones too. For some reason, the last few have not been up to the quality of the originals, as well as the three mentioned above.

message 4478: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) haha. Ours is full of trashy people, unfortunately. We (luckily) have good immediate neighbors, for the most part.

message 4479: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) never heard of them...but you should watch Emperor's New Groove! Its very funny.

message 4480: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Yep, Emperor's New Groove. Hated it, sorry.I just couldn't stand that guy! I was also already a little out of love with Disney, so that could be part of it.

message 4481: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments my favorite Disney movie is Beauty and The Beast. :~)

message 4482: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) aww, I like it :) There are sequels, those are crap.

message 4483: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) When I get home, I'll watch it.

20 minutes left!! Yippee!

message 4484: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yay! I did get North and South today, I just tracked it.

I'm going to visit my momma in a couple weeks and we're going to watch it.

message 4485: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) :)

message 4486: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) we're fairly close to 7000!

message 4487: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) you know, someday we really should all reread Harry Potter. It would be a BLAST.

message 4488: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hahaha.

message 4489: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) everytime I try to plan even a book in advance...it crashes and burns, I swear. I still can't decide exactly what I'll start once I finish The Stand.

message 4490: by Allison (last edited Feb 27, 2009 02:51PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) or Graceling or High Five by Janet Evanovich or Tell No One by Harlen Coben

message 4491: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Rachel wrote: "Kandice wrote: "I forgot about Mulan! That had great songs too. That's the problem with the newer ones. They don't make the effort with the music they used to."

Funny, I just put "I'll Make a Man ..."

haha, I love all the songs in that movie, but I'll Make a Man Out of You is my fave.

message 4492: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I don't have Howl's yet though. Should be coming in any day to the library.

message 4493: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I think I might read High Five tonight...they only take a couple hours, and they're funny. That way I can spread The Stand a bit further.

message 4494: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Rachel, looks like I would get along with your husband too! If you're only going to read one book, that's the best choice:)

message 4495: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) FIVE MORE MINUTES. Augh. I'm so happy I can go home.

message 4496: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments I am getting ready to read the first Harry Potter sometime next month. I can hardly wait. I have read so many great things about the HP series.

message 4497: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I just took Brady to see The Sword of the Stranger. I think that's a movie like those you are talkng about Fiona. I was surprised, but I really enjoyed it. Beautiful animation.

message 4498: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) alright ladies...I'm going home :) Of course, I'll probably get there and just come straight back here. haha.

*waves*

message 4499: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments I am amazed at how tired I am when I haven't done anything today. I want to keep my eyes open to read but they just don't want to stay open.

message 4500: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Operandi-Will this be your first time? It's incredibly addicting, so it will be nice for you they are all already available. We all had to wait a year for each!!!
