Allison (inconceivably) I want a Trader Joe's so bad...I hear so many people talking about it. Alas, they don't really have any in the Midwest :(

message 4402: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Trader Joe's is the bomb! They have really good, kind of out there stuff. They are pretty expensive unless there's a sale though.

message 4403: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You don't think any of that sounds good Fiona? Do you have any suggestions.

Oh! I forgot to tell you, remember my Lush order? It went to my mom!!!! I have this thing on the computer at home that fills in your info if you buy something on-line. The last thing I bought before that I had shipped to her, so I forgot to change the address. She loves it, so I guess I'll order myself some more. She's sending me my free with order tin, though.

message 4404: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Gilmore Girls is my show...I have all 7 Seasons.

I LOVE IT.

message 4405: by Kandice (new)

Kandice It's true, you have to really look at what you are buying there, but they have great cheeses, and cracker spreads. Lots of it is just regular stuff in fancy schmantcy packages though.

message 4406: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) oh! I ordered the first season of Tudors on Netflix, I can't remember what thread is always talking about that show.

message 4407: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I have been curious about Dollhouse, I forgot to DVR it when it started though. bummer.

24 is my favorite show that comes on right now, by far.

message 4408: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I never really watched Buffy, but have always wanted to. It's right up my alley. I missed Dollhouse too, but I was going to watch it. Did you watch Firefly Allison.

message 4409: by Kandice (new)

Kandice My mom thought my Lush stuff was a gift. I send her stuff all the time. I'll have it shipped right to her, since I have to pay for shipping anyway. I was irritated at first (bad daughter) but realized she was probably right to think I meant it for her. I mean, I would have too, if I was her.

message 4410: by Kandice (new)

Kandice FIONA!!!!!!!!!!!! Those shouldn't count!!!!

message 4411: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Is there an echo?

message 4412: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) echo?

message 4413: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) echo?

message 4414: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) nope, never watched Firefly.

message 4415: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You are cheating!

message 4416: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hahahahaha.

message 4417: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Way before your time, Allison, but I got the complete Incredible Hulk series for my birthday. My kids have been watching it with me and I love, love, love it!

message 4418: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You should watch Firefly. EVERYONE should watch Firefly. It was such a good show. I watch the DVD's over and over. My husband thinks I a freak.

message 4419: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I can't go home early. I have to file a claim but an't do it until 4:30. I'm off at 6 anyway. An hour and a half is just going to put me in traffic. Oh well.

message 4420: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) aww, it rocks though! I love it.

I sure wouldn't want to be his family/friend/co-worker though, that is true.

message 4421: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I really hate watching anything on t.v anymore. We don't have tivo or dvr or whatever, and I know it's silly, but it stresses me out to miss an episode if I'm into a show. I would rather wait for them to come out on DVD. I'm doing that with Lost now.

message 4422: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I want that Tudors show, and I watch a few shows on HBO. Those you can get in demand even without dvr and a season is only 13 episodes.

message 4423: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I don't watch it anymore, but I loved the Office when I did. I liked the original British one on BBC too. We have all of those on DVD but somehow, a comedy seems a waste of DVD watching time to me.

message 4424: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Yeah, I like him. I also love pretty much any Monty Python, and I used to adore Benny Hill. That guy was such an a@@.

message 4425: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Ruhbarb, for sure. I love that stuff. Have you ever eaten the fresh stalks? They are so good with salt. Yum yum! You seem to have a lot of sweets at your house, Miss Fiona!

message 4426: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Mixing them up would be good. I want a sweet treat!

message 4427: by Allison (last edited Feb 27, 2009 01:35PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I've never had rhubarb anything.

message 4428: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I've read the word trifle before, but what is it? Or treacle. What's that?

message 4429: by Allison (last edited Feb 27, 2009 01:37PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) man I'm so ready to go home...just another 1-1/2 hours.

message 4430: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I have tried and tried to draw that pig! It comes out horrid. I practiced on a paper, so I'd know what kind to draw, and it was cute...use the mouse and it's crap. I'm not posting that!

message 4431: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Man! I just started my lunch. I have 4 hours and 20 minutes. (minus my hour lunch)

message 4432: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Those raspberries look so delicious. They are my favorite anything!

Allison, I see you added Shogun. It's the greatest book. I have gone through quite a few copies. I've read it in it's entirety 14 times, but can pick it up and just read a few pages at any point and be happy. Let me know if you really read it.

message 4433: by Kandice (new)

Kandice OH! I noticed!

message 4434: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) have you guys seen the BBC miniseries Our Mutual Friend? It looks kinda good.

message 4435: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) LOL Kandice, I added it when I saw you said it was your favorite book on that other thread.

message 4436: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I haven't seen any of those! We have such different shows and series. How have you seen so many Allison? They can't have all been on your trip, can they? There is a BBC channel here, but I always forget it!

message 4437: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I first read Shogun when I was about 12, so a lot of it went over my head, but still, I devoured it, and it's a huge book. I have read it so many times now, it pops in my thoughts all the time. That's another mini-series I would like to own, but they always want like $100 bucks for it.

message 4438: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Yeah, I saw Cranford...its not available until April on Netflix. I put it on reserve :)

I saw Bleak House too, but yeah-I want to read the book first.

I noticed I can watch Mutual Friend instantly from my computer though, perhaps I'll start it tonight.

message 4439: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I watched North and South and Wives and Daughters instantly on Netflix, because they're both by Elizabeth Gaskell.

I have the BBC version of P&P...actually, I ordered North and South too, and should be getting it today :)

BBC versions are just always so good

message 4440: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Still Allison, how do you know about all these English shows?

message 4441: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) mkay, I ordered Lilies. It isn't available instantly, but the DVDs are.

message 4442: by Kandice (new)

Kandice The main character is this book is named Una. Isn't that a nice sounding name?

message 4443: by Kandice (new)

Kandice About how much is 10.98 pounds (?) in dollars? That doesn't sound like a lot for a whole series!

message 4444: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) like...I can't download it and watch it on my computer...but I can rent the DVDs and have them shipped.

message 4445: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Una is Ahab's wife. She is a feisty thing, too! I already like her a lot and I have barely started.

message 4446: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice, I just love BBC miniseries :) I discovered them through P&P...and just started looking up more and more of them. So I don't really know much about English TV..just BBC series!

message 4447: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) pounds are roughly $2

message 4448: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Tudors is coming first, and we only get 2 discs at a time...so it'll be awhile. But I will!

message 4449: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Una is one of the characters in the later parts of the Anne of Green Gables series.

message 4450: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Oh, thanks Allison. I always wondered. That's still pretty good for an entire series.

True Blood from HBO is coming out at Wal-Mart, and supposedly the first season is only going to be $39. Usually their shows are about $100 a season when they first come out, so I can't wait!
