Allison (inconceivably) I am drinking Dr. Pepper :)

message 4152: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I hate tea :(

message 4153: by Kandice (new)

Kandice They are movies. 1980's teen movies to be exact! I remember Wild Hearts. Sort of. It's Andrew McCarthy that's in both, right?

message 4154: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Michael Schoeffling

message 4155: by Kandice (last edited Feb 26, 2009 01:19PM) (new)

Kandice I am drinking strawberry tea right now in my favorite cup! I would prefer tea with caffeine, but since I had 4 cups of coffee earlier...

I do remember the movie. Wasn't she blind, or something. That movie came out when I was an adult, so a little behind me, and my daughter wouldn't have been old enough yet. I think I saw it on Disney.

message 4156: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) well the 80s movies are before my time too, but they play reruns like every weekend.

Dr. Pepper is the only pop I like too.

I know I'm weird that I don't like tea...hot or cold.

message 4157: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I'm eating sunflower seeds. I'm hungry but don't want ruin my appetite for dinner.

message 4158: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) well, she gets in an accident (as a diver with diving horses) and gets blinded.

yeah...its Disney

message 4159: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I think its based off the true story of the woman's life

message 4160: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I hate Dr. Pepper, but love almost any other cld, fizzy, diet drink.
I am pretty much addicted to sunflower seeds! I like Frito Lay brand, just the regular ones in the teal bag?
You girls make me feel so old! I saw Breakfast Club at the theatre 4 times!

message 4161: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) LOL. Thats funny.

message 4162: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Yes, my 22 year old self was just a thumb sucker then.

message 4163: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ...or possibly not born.

message 4164: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Ummmm... I went to see that movie on dates!

message 4165: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) you go girl ;)

message 4166: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) That's what I have- the Fritos brand!

I've only watched the re-runs of the Breakfast Club on regular TV

message 4167: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Go Kandice! (for your dates comment)

message 4168: by Allison (last edited Feb 26, 2009 01:30PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) How old are you Jackie?

(I'm asking in a totally non-internet predator way)

message 4169: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Well, I swear I was NOT a slut or a "slag" as Fiona would say, but I WAS a cheerleader, and did like to go out. A LOT!!!!

message 4170: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) no shame in that!

message 4171: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I always went out with guys as friends (seriously, I didn't "like" anyone in HS really), but my mom never believed me! I think she thought I was pretty easy, LOL.

message 4172: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Um, sure Allison- thanks for clearifying. LOL!
I'll be 28 on Sunday.

message 4173: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Well, I was a band/academic team/yearbook nerd. :)

message 4174: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I tried cheerleading in college. I lasted like 2 weeks. I'm SOOOOO not cheerleading material. LOL.

message 4175: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) isn't it hard to even make a college cheerleading team though?

message 4176: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) but yes Fiona, cheerleading/football/basketball are usually popular activities...at least in the midwest.

message 4177: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) It's supposed to be, but the college I went to was small. They had to replace the whole squad except for like 2-3 people. I'm pretty athletic, just not cheerful enough. :/

message 4178: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Fiona-I know you wouldn't call me that, I was just remembering you telling me what it meant.
Well, cheerleading was a big deal when I was doing it, not so much anymore. I was really a joiner, I guess. I was in the drama club, debate club, I played field hockey, soccer and golf, and I was Sports editor and later Editor of our school paper. I just liked to be busy!

message 4179: by Kandice (new)

Kandice My mother was dating a guy named Skip, she would see when her family went camping every weekend. He lived about an hour and a half from her, so they never saw each other during the week. She was ALSO dating a guy that she saw during the week. Surrealistically-THEY WERE BROTHERS! The three of them ended up talking about it, when my dad just happened to show up camping, and decided My dad and mom were a little more serious than my mom and uncle. How crazy weird is that!!!!?????

That's funny Jackie! I am pretty cheerful. To a fault, according to my husband. *sigh*

message 4181: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Wow, Kandice... that is weird! No hard feelings amongst them?

I'm more cheerful now. I do smile a lot and I joke with other people. But in college I was more reserved. I didn't really enjoy the atmosphere or my college experience.

My problem was that the head cheerleader was a total b*tch. If she had a bad day she would take it out on us, which I didn't appreciate. My last straw was when I was getting pawned by one of the guys. I'm short and easy to throw in the air, so they wanted to make me a flyer. However, the guy that was supposed to be my partner was a total skeezer that just wanted to feel me up all the time. That was the end of it for me.

Kandice Bill wrote: "Why does life so often resemble a big, glittering movie house candy machine, neon-lit and busted, so you can't get even what you don't want?"

What do you mean? Are you having a bad day?

message 4183: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice, that is SUCH a funny story, sounds like...a book!

Jackie, you seem very cheerful now :)

Fiona...solitare is for losers, IT is for winners!

message 4184: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Jackie-You can certainly make ME cheer up now!

Too funny, but I just got off the phone with my dad, and I told him I had relayed their "story" to you guys. He tends to call me on my lunch at work, since it's easier than trying to get a word in edgewise between my children fighting for the phone!

Fiona Play Majhong instead!

message 4185: by Kandice (new)

Kandice That's 13.6%. Not very good odds. Change games:)

message 4186: by Kandice (new)

Kandice What is spider solitaire? I spelled mahjong wrong!

message 4187: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) i love spider solitaire! i'm way better at it than regular.

message 4188: by Kandice (last edited Feb 26, 2009 02:18PM) (new)

Kandice You didn't miss much. Just random rambling. Three hours?! Holy smokes, where did you go? Did your birthday girl like it?

message 4189: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Ha ha! That's too funny. My oldest son is always sneaking his dad's and then wont confess when it's almost empty and Vinny needs some. Yes, Fiona, get your own!

message 4190: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Is spider solitaire the one where you put the piles of cards in a circle?

message 4191: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice, your computer should have it with solitaire and the other games...

message 4192: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Okay, good adjective! Ha ha!
Okay, Maria, the office girl, just came back in here to talk about Joe. I was very clear about his preferences. Maybe she didn't get it?

message 4193: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hmm.

message 4194: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) poor gal.

message 4195: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I wasted my lunch talking to my dad and posting with you girls. I ATE NOTHING!!!!! I have a box of dark chocolate covered espresso beans. Maybe I should eat those? I just got over this morning's caffeine, though, so maybe not the best idea.

message 4196: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) um...excuse me? wasted time talking to US? haha.

I had a nasty sweet and sour chicken frozen dinner. i might as well have chewed on cardboard with funk sauce.

message 4197: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I said, and I am trying to remember exactly "Oh, honey. I'm really sorry you didn't know. He's very handsome, and sweet, so I can see how you would be attracted to him, but he really doesn't date girls."

message 4198: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) but I have yummy leftover honey bbq chicken waiting at home for me in half an hour when I get off work!

message 4199: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hmm. might have to be more blunt if she really didn't get it?

message 4200: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Do you think a deli counts as fast food? I can get soup from over there. Today's is 5 bean soup, and they make it from scratch. I can eat that while I am working.
