Jackie (thenightowl) Kandice, I think you're the first person I've heard that likes Peeps.

message 3952: by [deleted user] (new)

It sounds likethe Cadbury eggs!

message 3953: by [deleted user] (new)

If we hit 7000 tonight that means we each need to do about 200 plus posts unless more people log on!

message 3954: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Emilee likes them!!!

message 3955: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah...I'm not a fan of peeps so much.

I watched a thing on Food Network that showed how they made them. If I had liked them before, I wouldn't like them now.

But I mean...that goes for anything you watch being made. Its all a nasty process involving lard and preservatives. lol.

message 3956: by [deleted user] (new)

Peeps are marshmellows in the shape of either little chicks, bunnies & some other Easter animal they are coated with colored sugar. Extremely sweet! Total Junk food!

message 3957: by Allison (last edited Feb 25, 2009 12:17PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I keep getting Fallen Angel out of my desk and looking at it, haha. I'm excited to read it!

message 3958: by [deleted user] (new)

Marshmellows actually contain fat from cow hoofs. I still like them. Protein!

message 3959: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Um, gross. I didn't know that about the marshmellows.

message 3960: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) uggggh. Gross!

Oh well, as long as they scrape off all the crud from them before they stir them in, I guess.

message 3961: by [deleted user] (new)

I got a new quilt catalog in teh mail and so want to order this pattern & fabric to make a quilt. Dang it. They also have Beatles fabric and I owe my brother a quilt so I really need to get the Beatles fabric and make him a quilt.

message 3962: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Yes :) I really am! I pick it up, stroke the cover, flip through it...then I have to quickly shut my drawer before I see The Stand in there and give in to the urge to lock myself into the bathroom and read it.

message 3963: by [deleted user] (new)

I guess I get all the peeps?

message 3964: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I think I mentioned before I can't make a quilt to save my life, but I so, so wish I could. I can sew clothing, but quilts are just so precise!!! I envy you Emilee...

message 3965: by [deleted user] (new)

It could be. They taste good sound gross but what isn't gross these days?

message 3966: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I don't care what's in something. I just care about the end result. (re:goat hooves)

message 3967: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) A guillotine.

message 3968: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Get a blanket, roll it up like a log and heat it up in the microwave and wrap it around your neck. My dad does it all the time.

message 3969: by Kandice (new)

Kandice GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 3970: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Emilee, you have to share the Peeps with me!

message 3971: by [deleted user] (new)

Fiona: you should go to the doctor because it's been bothering you for so long. Worst case you could have a buldging disc or herniation. Go get it checked out.

message 3972: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Aren't you applying for jobs in the medical field? Now what kind of example will you be. Sufferring from that blasted neck for weeks on end and NOT seeing a Dr.?

message 3973: by [deleted user] (new)

Just want to be careful. Are backs are very fragile.

Don't forget to call the doctor tomorrow!

message 3974: by [deleted user] (new)

This is truely the longest thread in this group!

message 3975: by [deleted user] (new)

I am going to log off. My kids are home sick and waking up.

message 3976: by Kandice (new)

Kandice That's funny. I think it's a forgone conclusion a mom gets whatever her kids have.

message 3977: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) When I got the chicken pox, my first pox was on my face. I thought I was getting a pimple in the 3rd grade, so I made the mistake of popping it. I still have the indentation on my cheek.

message 3978: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I'm lucky...I never got chicken pox. :)

Sucks that the scar is still there, Jackie!

message 3979: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) You're luck that you haven't gotten them Allison. However, I have heard that if you get them as an adult the symptoms are worse.

The scar almost looks like a dimple...almost.

message 3980: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) there are shots now though, right? I think I've had them.

message 3981: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Yeah, you can get vaccinated. It's like a right of passage when you're little and you get them. You missed out. :)

message 3982: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I'm so envious of you people and your nice weather. I really need to move.

message 3983: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I am so often dispaointed in movie adaptations of books, but I never tire of seeing someone else's mental picture of something I have read. Sometimes, when my mom and I are together, we'll see people and say, "She looks like (insert character name) in (insert name of novel).". It's amazing that her idea of a character and mine can be SO different.

Or movies. Some people are thrilled with the cast actor, while for others, it just ruins the character.

message 3984: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Oh, I don't know. It was soooo long. I like it, I don't mean to imply I didn't. The violence wasn't too hard to take either, but I want to get some more books on my already read list first.
It seems unfair, when you have so many lined up, to let a series "take cuts". How silly does that sound? Haha!

message 3985: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I know what you mean Kandice. My 75-book challenge is taking a major hit thanks to this series.

message 3986: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Rachel...RUN don't walk...RUN and go get Outlander.

You will not regret it.

message 3987: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) lol. I MIGHT be obsessed.

Soon...you will be too. *evil laugh*

message 3988: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I used to re-read all the time, until GR.

Rachel-It's way, way romantic. That's not my usual style book, but it was really interesting. Since I'm not a huge romance fan, it was exciting to develop this UNHOLY crush on the main male character. He alone is worth all those pages!

message 3989: by Kandice (new)

Kandice As in the movie Seven Samurai? If so, I never knew there was a book. I have seen that movie countless times!!!

message 3990: by Allison (last edited Feb 25, 2009 02:02PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Fiona...it cracks me up that you're still awake.

Not that its even late for you yet...what time is it there?

message 3991: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) oh...cool! You're only 6 hours ahead of me...I thought it was more.

message 3992: by Kandice (new)

Kandice That means Allison is 2 hours ahead of me, because Fi is 8 ahead for me.
I've noticed Fiona logs off about the time I am either getting dinner on the table or clearing up.

message 3993: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Is your husband home Allison?
My daughter and I are giving up fast food for Lent and it made me think of what you said yesterday.

Do you think Subway is fast food?

message 3994: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) humm...I guess it would be classified as fast food...but I always think of it differently since its healthy.

Since the point of giving up fast food would be not to eat crap...I'd say you can still go to Subway.

My hubby is gone until tomorrow. I'm probably going to make myself pasta for dinner tonight though, as I'm craving some alfredo sauce! yummm.

message 3995: by Kandice (new)

Kandice My husband thinks he's such a crackup. Last night he was making fun of us for trying so hard to think of something hard but not too hard to give up. He said "I'm giving up sweeping, kissing men, lettuce, romance movies and reading for Lent.". He doesn't eat or do any of those things now!!!!

message 3996: by Kandice (new)

Kandice MWAH!!!! I didn't want Subway to be fast food! It's not fried and the vegetables are fresh. (well, kind of)

message 3997: by Kandice (new)

Kandice So a real deli would be okay in Fiona's description, just not a chain like Subway or Submarina? I can do that!

We have lots of coffee shops, very few tea shops. They aren't all sweet, homemade and personable like they seem in English books, though. They are like Starbuck's, if you know what that is.

message 3998: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) The last time I saw a tea shop...I was watching BBC.

And all the coffee shops around here are chains, like Starbucks. Locally owned ones have long since gone out of business.

message 3999: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I've never heard of Costa's, but this is a big country, so maybe someone else has. I have always read that "clotted cream" thing, and always thought I would like it. What is it?

I like some of the things they have at Starbuck's, but am by no means in love with it.

message 4000: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Hey if it weren't for Starbucks my daughter wouldn't have a job.

AND they let her have 1 lb. of coffee or 1 lb. of tea free every week

AND she gets free drinks all during her shift and 30 mins. before and after

SO I get all the free drinks I want when she gets off work

SO I really like Starbucks!!

:)
