I should go read too! But I'm not.

I just changed my Avi. I just didn't like the Enrique one. Back to the smurfs!

Jackie (thenightowl) Allison wrote: "haha Jackie, any time I talk to you or read your messages I picture you just like that."

LOL...I wished I looked like her! She was kind of how I pictured Claire to be. I have some other ones, but they're a little risky for a reading site. hehehe! Don't want to give the nerds a heart attack.

Did you check the Galbaldon website? There is a picture of Claire that will be used for the graphic novel. She's really pretty.

message 3903: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Oooh! I'll need to look at that. Do I just put her name in the search bar? Or is the site under Outlander?

I had no idea there was going to be a graphic novel. I used to read them with my brother and have grown to really love the medium. I'll have to watch for it.

message 3904: by Kandice (new)

Kandice But, Fiona, Allison says I can't get it here. I guess I can look on E-Bay. It sounds good.

message 3905: by Jackie (last edited Feb 25, 2009 11:37AM) (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) This should take you to the direct picture of Claire:

http://www.cco.caltech.edu/~gatti/gab...

The website itself is filled with information. I didn't want to look too much in case there were spoilers though.

message 3906: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Amazon!! I'm tellin ya, it cost me like $6 shipping and all. Its pretty big too. I like having books from England, it makes me feel cultured when the price is listed in pounds on the back. haha.

message 3907: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Yeah, I didn't even look for them seperate. I just went for the big guns.

message 3908: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Allison, you got the monibus for $6? I can do that!

message 3909: by [deleted user] (new)

Allison: Try Powell's books they are online they have a huge selection of books two big stores one in Chicago & one in Seatle. They are pretty reasonably priced they might have it. I got a rare poetry book that was only published in England from them.

message 3910: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Jackie-Thanks. When you say spoilers, do you mean just the first book, or is it going to be the entire series? I'll have to be careful if that's the case.

message 3911: by [deleted user] (new)

Jackie: I like the picture of Claire.

message 3912: by [deleted user] (new)

Fiona: I forgot it's dinnertime over there. Didn't We decide that there is like 8 or 9 hrs difference. Oh it's been so long and all the threads I don't remember.

message 3913: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice wrote: "Allison, you got the monibus for $6? I can do that!"

Yeah, it was like $1.99 for the book (used-in like new condition) and the $3.99 flat rate amazon marketplace shipping charge.

message 3914: by Kandice (new)

Kandice 8 hours. I actually looked it up! I can't believe how often Miss Sassy Pants is still up at 2 a.m.!!!

message 3915: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Yeah Fiona...you're a freak.

message 3916: by [deleted user] (new)

I know. I would not function on the small amount of sleep she gets!

message 3917: by [deleted user] (new)

Allison are you getting it?

message 3918: by Kandice (new)

Kandice h I looked! She is lovely! Her hair is longer than I would have imagined at the beginning of the book, but, those lips...

message 3919: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) oooo creepy...I wouldn't want to read IT at 2 a.m.

message 3920: by [deleted user] (new)

If you get a third shift job you won't need to change your sleeping habits. And enjoy it while your body will let you. When I was in my early 20's I hardly slept. Now I can't stay up too late or I can't think straight!

message 3921: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Kandice, she has stuff on all of her books- Outlander, the Outlander Companion, and the Lord John series. You can choose according to the titles, which are usually highlighted. Still I didn't want to fall into temptation.

message 3922: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) No. Outlander. Spoilers.

DON'T DO IT!!

message 3923: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Emilee's right about it depending on the shift you get. As far as the sleep thing goes... I used to be able to stay up until all hours. Now, I still can make myself, but I get up super early, no matter how late I get to bed, so I have to try to be reasonable!
I for one am glad you stay up late Fiona! Other wise we wouldn;t get as much chatting in!!!!

message 3924: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Yeah, Fiona...it would be much more convenient for us if you moved over here. You should look into that.

message 3925: by Kandice (new)

Kandice But then she couldn't dazzle us with the description sof her exotic foods. Which, by the way, I really want to try Bubbles and Squeek, but I want it to look just like the picture! Fat chance of that.

message 3926: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) What the heck is Bubbles and Squeek?

message 3927: by [deleted user] (new)

She should come visit then she can have our fatty juny foods like cheetoos!

message 3928: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) We are so golden on the 6000 posts deal. Seriously.

message 3929: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I'm sleepy :) a nap would be great

message 3930: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) 10 more!

message 3931: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) er...8....7...whatever. I hate math

message 3932: by Kandice (new)

Kandice It's left over veggies and mashed (?) potatoes fried as pancake like things in oil. Fiona posted a picture and it looked heavenly. I'll look for it and post the # post it is.

message 3933: by [deleted user] (new)

My kitten is so darn funny. She is spralled out in my picture window sun bathing! Cats are great!

message 3934: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) they surely do have some awesome food over there.

message 3935: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) plus...thats where the Scots are ;)

message 3936: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Gorgeous weather for kitty sunbathing! I can't wait to go home and walk my doggie.

message 3937: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yay!

message 3938: by [deleted user] (new)

We have sun but I think it's only about 30 degrees but I am hoping for better weather!

message 3939: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) man...I am addicted to baked cheetos. and they're baked! so I feel less guilty when I eat them all. lol.

message 3940: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Mmmm....sounds good!

message 3941: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) it is almost 70 here! IT ROCKS. Although we're paying for it this weekend with a snowstorm, apperantly.

message 3942: by [deleted user] (new)

I haven't had those yet. I'll have to try them.

I am addicted to the reese's peanut butter eggs. Just so much peanut butter & chocolate!

message 3943: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I love anything cheesy...Cheetos and Doritos are my favorite.

message 3944: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Fiona wrote: "What's 70F in C? To me that sounds dangerously close to boiling point."

21 I think

message 3945: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You never told me definitely. Was it the puffy Cheetos, or the crunchy ones? The puffy ones are very uniform in shape, while the crunchy ones look a bit like caveman clubs.
I think I will try to make it, but why does the green look so dark in the picture you posted? I've never seen cabbage that dark. Could it be Brussels sprouts? They are my all time favorite vegetable!

message 3946: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Fiona, you find them around Easter time here.

message 3947: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) haha, I might have converted wrong...but I don't think so.

For us its mild, gorgeous weather :)

message 3948: by Allison (last edited Feb 25, 2009 12:09PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Heck, at Easter you can probably get cheetos shaped like eggs.

message 3949: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Cadbury's eggs, I think you mean. I don't really like them in general, they are too rich, but every once in a while... yum!

What I wait all year for is Peeps. I know they have them for most holidays now, but something inside me objects to a Peep in any other shape but a chickie! I like them when they are old and getting chewy.

message 3950: by [deleted user] (new)

Peeps are out at Walmart! I love those too.

I love all cheetoos but haven't tried the baked. Anything cheesy is great!
