You're right Allison, it is very addicting! You just NEED to know what's next, right?

Yeah...I know that these people will meet up or whatever (or I assume)...but right now its just showing them all after every one has died, where they are deciding to go...etc. Ever since I started, I have felt like I'm on the edge of the cliff about to go over...the anticipation is just incredible.
Fiona-I don't know exactly where you are, but have the children become a cohesive "group" yet? Once they are bonded, or whatever you want to call it, it picks up considerably. When you are nearer the end, I have to look up the "incident" I hate. I want to know when you get there, and ALL your thoughts!
I did look up The Loop before. I remember meaning to ask if the title was a bit of a play on lupine or if it referred to something else.
Kandice, I am having a hysterectomy tomorrow. This is preventive measures since my mom had ovarian cancer and my sister had uterine cancer. There has also been a number of other family members with that kind of cancer too. So, after today I won't be on for a few days by the time I get back I'll probably have over 1000 posts to catch up on...lol
haha...remember that song Hole in the Bucket? It was the first (and close to the last) thing I learned to play on the piano.
Thanks everyone....I'm sure it will all go fine and I'm hoping while recovering I can get a lot of reading done. :~)
OMG...I wish I worked in a bigger office so I could crawl under my desk and read The Stand. I AM DYING!There are only 6 of us though, so I think it would be noticed.
I never like Molly Ringwald as Frannie. I imagined her with wavy, red hair, which she actually has, so why did they make her hair straight and almost black? That was distracting to me.
*sings* theres a hole in the bucket dear Liza dear Liza...theres a hole in the bucket dear Liza a hole!
I'll help bump up your numbers. My freaking shoulder hurts. I've already had 3 Advils since this morning and it hasn't done anything.
aww, I'm sorry Jackie. Its probably from holding up Outlander and Dragonfly! lol. Better start lifting weights if you expect to make it through all 6...
I thought you meant "There's a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea". Do you know that one? We sing it all the time with a goofy hicksville accent. Super funny.
Sorry about your shoulder Jackie. Have someone pinch you. You'll forget about the shoulder for a bit.
I normally don't care all that much if they change a character, but for whatever reason, the Frannie thing really messed me up!I didn't mind Shelly Duvall in the Shining, and no one could ever describe her as "Beautiful and blonde". I think it just depends on how well I pictured the character as I read.
I have emptied my inventory on BookMooch, I think I might just give a bunch away...I was too addicted to getting books on there and they are piling up everywhere! I have 10 points saved up, and once I use those I might be done there for awhile.
I have resisted even looking at this "book mooch" you guys are always mentioning. Too easy to get in trouble.
It probably is DIA. I no longer lift to read. I just balance it on my knees while I read it.I wanted to join bookmooch or paperswap, but I know it'll just bump up the ones I have at home.
That's what I'm thinking. I send my mom books sometimes. I just sent the first 7 Sookie books, and it cost me $23. I know I couldn't buy them all brand new for that, but I also know I can find SOMETHING used to buy and read that would be way less than that.
it averages about 2.23 to send a book. Thats cheaper then our used bookstore, so *shrugs* I loved it.
Yup, off of work. I'm on the East Coast. I have to go to the library and look for Voyager. I was going to walk over during lunch time, but it so freaking cold outside today especially with the wind.
Allison-There is a thrift store within walking distance of my house. The paperbacks are $.50 and hardbacks between $1 and $2. They have tons, and tons of books. I would say about 90% of my books, other than HAVE TO HAVES are from there. I try to walk down there every Saturday morning.
No, book 3 for the Outlander series. It took me a minute to get what you were asking me. lol. I forgot you are a Trekkie (sp?).
Ha ha! People who care say it's Trekker, but I couldn't care less. I am one, but I never really like Voyager. Pretty much anything after Roddenberry's death was just to "warrish" for me.
I don't know why, but I've never been into the whole Star Trek thing. My brother-in-law is a fanatic though. He could give you the whole history.
Me too! I don;t even know why the style change after his death bothered me. I mean I love Star Wars for Pete's sake. I guess I just felt Star Trek was supposed to be more "intellectual", less fighting.I wish I had a super Star Trek geek as a friend;(
oooh Kandice, great deal! At Goodwill, the paperbacks are $1, and sometimes I find good stuff, but never actually what I'm looking for.
I have to admit, you can't go in with a list! I have, however, been really lucky in finding things I was hoping to read or have heard about. I find quite a few current books. You know, Costco types? I think there must be a few very generous readers that donate to that store, because many of them are pretty much perfect. What gets me most excited, though, is when I find a really old book I want.
We are talking about him in another thread, but do any of you girls think Ewan Mcgregor is, well...HOT?
