It is the name of Israeli version of American Idol. There are differences such as the fact there is no panel of bitchy judges. If I remember correctly it is all based on viewer voting.

Sondra wrote: "I've always wondered who invented the work week. Why is Monday - Friday a work week and not Saturday & Sunday? I'd much rather have Monday-Friday as the weekend!!! :)"

Our working week is Sunday to Friday so our weekend is 1.5 days long. Some people working shifts do half day Friday then go back 8pm Saturday (There are not words to explain how depressing that is)

And let me just say that the first day of the week is total h*ll whichever day it is.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Kandice...pictures!!!!!!!

I wish my sister was here. She has never been to Ireland but it used to be her favourite country. Would like to go to the city centre with her and show her the parade and so....need to plan and then get her over!
Isn't it funny. I used to fight with my sister. Then I went to university and it became a bit better. But when five years ago I left Belgium we got on even better. Now we really like each other and look for support of each other. I love to invite her wherever I am and show her the city, go to airshows or miltary airplane museums(she lovesthem) na dpay everything for her so she doesn't ahve to think about money for once and can jsut enjoy without having to think how father will react and say. It makes me feel good that I am in a position where i can try to help to give her moments of hapiness in her life. I wish she would come and live in ireland. She would like to do it but she has a long road to go before she comes near to being able to do it.

Before I was born my mother had lived in Bruxelles and still had friends there. When I was little we visited almost every year.
I even celebrated my birthday there one year.
My favourite place was the Grand-Place and my favourite meal was breakfast: waffles with chocolate vermicelli, washed down with chocolate milk!
I thought Belgium was Heaven on Earth :0)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Forgot to tell but saturday in the bookshop Eason there was a book signing by an american author...can't remember the name. I think it was a fantasy writer and it might have been something like Feast or maybe not at all. It was the first time i saw an author signing books and it impressed me he came from the states.

Hey Everyone. I'm sickkk. Finished TSFT on Sunday. I have not bought any more books, and I'm planning to start reading my own soon.

*coughs*

Gahhhhh. I hate being ill.

message 6632: by Emma (last edited Mar 18, 2009 02:44PM) (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I think I just might. :)

Although it's going to be especially hard on Sunday, since I need to go to Chapters to buy a book for school, and I have giftcards, so money shouldn't go to waste. But I'm afraid I'll buy more then the one reference books...

message 6633: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Maybe I just shouldn't bring them and buy it with cash. Yes, I like that idea. Less room for me screwing up and buying a book.

message 6634: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Right, I'll have to remember that. :P

*coughs*

I think I'm going to organize my GR bookshelves.

How are you Fi?

message 6635: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I'm bored too. I have about four hours until I have to hit the hay. I can organize, read, drink and stay online until then.

The one thing I like about being sick is that I can relax and become ambitious again.

message 6636: by Carol (new)

Carol (caroldias) I´m feeling sorry for you Fiona and your IT book. I think you´ll put it on fire when finished haha

message 6637: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I'm afraid to read Stephen King. Yes, I haven't read him yet. Don't hate me.

message 6638: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments What King book did you first read?

message 6639: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments How many of his books have you read since then?

I'm trying to figure out how to organize my books...by genre I think.

message 6640: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I like organizing my to-reads. :D

message 6641: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments My first SK book was The Shining, and I loved it. I am not sure I have ever read The Stand, but will when I have about a month of doing nothing. I loved SK for years. I read a short story book by Dean Koontz, and it totally creeped me out. I haven't read a horror book since then. I think I am ready to go back to them now, though. I really like horror books and have missed them, so I will be happy to get back to them.

message 6642: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Horror scares me. That makes sense I suppose. I like the psychological aspect of it though.

message 6643: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments I have to figure out how I want to organize my books. I haven't done any yet. I need to start soon, though, especially my to-be-read pile (over 3000).

message 6644: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Wow, that's overwhelming. I need a piece of paper to organize this, but I don't want to get up.

message 6645: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Someone drag me out of bed please. I need to get up so I can organize my shelves.

*tries to*

No, it's not working.

message 6646: by Carol (new)

Carol (caroldias) Just to say that I´ve never read SK too, It´s too scary >.< And now I´m afraid of IT xD

WOW DO YOU HAVE 3000 BOOKS? O.O I mean, in paper? That´s crazy!!

message 6647: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments I know. It's really bad to have that many books in my TBR, and no, I don't have that many at home. :)

You may call me Randi. That's my nickname.

message 6648: by Kandice (new)

Kandice A LOT of what Stephen King writes is not horror. His first 4 novels really were, so everyone always says that, but he has such a huge body of work, and I think at least half would not be.

message 6649: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Carrie scares me. A lot. I've practically vomited because of bad written gross out scenes. I have a sensitive stomach.

message 6650: by Carol (new)

Carol (caroldias) Emma, I need to organize my shelve too.. It´s all crazy with pens in the middle lol
