The first famous osng by katie Melua I adored, so one day my boyfriend gave me a made cd to me where the song was put after the other one for like ten times!

Allison (inconceivably) The male cast of Watchmen is going to be on the Rachel Ray show today, I'm excited!

message 6411: by Allison (last edited Mar 11, 2009 06:17AM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I got a huge sack of books together last night, AND I AM DONATING THEM.

I'm so proud of myself :P that way I can't list them on BookMooch or sell them at a used bookstore for credit towards more books.

message 6412: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (readr4ever) | 510 comments Allison, good for you. I so desperately need to weed. I did so not too long ago, but I wasn't nearly thorough enough. I think the only rooms that don't have books now are the bathrooms.

message 6413: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I have books stacked up next to the bathtub :P

LOL!!!!!!! That's too funny!

message 6415: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) total what? books next to the bathtub? books total in my home?

message 6416: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) nah. I don't let them get wet. I actually think I know what books are next to the bathtub, I was just looking at them yesterday thinking I should take them back to the bookcase :P
A Fatal Waltz by Tasha Alexander, the latest Sookie Stackhouse, a library book (Eleven on Top by Janet Evanovich), and...a couple others.

In my home? NO idea. I have some shoved in a closet that I bought at a library book sale, 2 sacks full I think. Then I have one bookcase full of what I've read, and one bookcase brimming over with what I haven't, probably about 150 in that one. Then I also have a big box under the spare bed full of what I had listed to give away on BookMooch, most of which I'm now giving away :)

message 6417: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) well...did I mention that a whole room in my parent's garage is filled floor to ceiling with books in bins that they're storing for me?

:D

message 6418: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) 73 is a lot!

message 6419: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) they can have it :P like I need it.

I used to wonder how people could have SO many unread books in their possession. Part of me always thought it was a big fat lie to impress everyone.

Since Ive been frequenting library sales tho, I can see how quickly you can add em up! Its crazy, its an addiction, and it sooooo fun!!!

ha ha!

Oh, Allison, you are such a bad poody cat (like the reference Fiona?). I'm just glad there is someone even worse than I am about hoarding books. I'm afraid to count how many I have. I may work up the courage later today to count how many are on the shelves behind me where I sit at the computer.

Lori, yes, it is a true addiction. I mean, really, knowing that my house is full of books and being unable to stop myself from buying more. I can just never get enough. Rather than impressing people, I'm embarrassed for people to see just how obsessed I am.

message 6424: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah, we're easily gonna hit 10k today I think.

message 6425: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (readr4ever) | 510 comments What's the 10,000 mark? I'm going to do something really radical now. I'm going to go read. Ha, ha. I'm so not a morning person. I got up at 5:30 this morning (and didn't even have to sub today) to get some breakfast together for my daughter and her family who had spent the night and were off early to Savannah. I ended up staying up, so I'm going to go try and read some now. Only problem is I feel myself getting sleepy, hope I don't drop off.

message 6426: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I had a chocolate chunk chex mix bar for breakfast, but I'm hungry again :(

Kathy...I'm horrible about reading in the morning, I always doze off...makes me feel like an old woman.

message 6427: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) We're getting pizza and salad today thanks to the producers. yummy!

message 6428: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I don't really have time to read in the morning. I have everything timed out just so I can make it out the door on time.

message 6429: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) me too, I'm referring to weekends only. On weekdays, I peel out of bed about 20 minutes before I absolutely have to be out the door or I'll be late to work. I let the dog out, straighten my hair...and out I run.

message 6430: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (readr4ever) | 510 comments Oh, chocolate chunk-yum! And pizza, Jackie-yum again! I am realizing that the problem with getting up early and staying up is that I eat early and am hungry again mid-morning.

LOL, Allison, dozing does make one feel a bit like a geezer.

message 6431: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments I seem to doze off every time I start reading. It is very aggravating.

message 6432: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Oh ok, weekend I can read anytime of the day with no problem. Sometimes if I read after work I will doze off for a bit. Last night I took an hour nap when I was reading Voyager :/

message 6433: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Good morning. I'm just leaving for work, so will probably log back on to 100 posts. LOL.

Allison-I am going to be eating the last 6 chocolates, in my box from Valentine's, for breakfast, on my drive to work. Can't tell what they are, so am keeping my fingers crossed for at least one caramel and none of the nasty pink or orange filled ones! Wish me luck...

message 6434: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) YUCK...I hate those too! Those and coconut I always have to spit out.

message 6435: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments Good Morning Ladies!

I want to finish Graceling today I only have 100 pages left but everytime I start reading someone or something interupts. *sigh*

How is everyone else doing on their books? Are you all doing the spring challenge? If so where you at in your points?

message 6436: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Ha ha!!!! I always look for the square ones first! I try to leave at least one square for last. Guess what? It was CARAMEL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allison-coconut is so nasty in my opinion. I always spit those out. I can gag down the pink or orange ones, but NOT coconut!

message 6437: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah, I HATE coconut in all forms Kandice...everyone thinks I'm nuts, but...BLECK!

message 6438: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I'm glad you got your caramel :D

message 6439: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (readr4ever) | 510 comments Rachel, your description of the Girl Scouts was funny, but what has caused you to label them as such? Being a former Girl Scout, I just have to ask. Is there something sinister going on about the cookies? I've often suspected that.

message 6440: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I love truffles in any shape or form, but the most readily available, wonderful ones are from See's. Do you have See's candy? They are to die for. For some reason the Godiva ones are all over Las Vegas and since we will be there next week, I'm sure I will be eating my share!

message 6441: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Ferrero Rocher's are my favorites. The ones with the hazelnut in the middle are heaven!

message 6442: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Dayum, now I have hankering for chocolate.

message 6443: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (readr4ever) | 510 comments I love the Lindt Lindor chocolates, especially the white chocolate and dark chocolate balls.

message 6444: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) k, I am logging off because I am super busy this afternoon since I'm taking off the rest of the week and I can't afford the distraction :P

love you guys :D

message 6445: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Have a good time at your parent's house :)

message 6446: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I forgot all about Lindt! They are the absolute best. I usually treat myself to one at Michael's, because they have them in a dish right by the register.

message 6447: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) LMAO...I LOVE that last paragraph. It's so true!

message 6448: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (readr4ever) | 510 comments Wow, Rachel. Thanks for enlightening me. Curses to anything or anyone who screws with a kid's self-esteem. I haven't eaten Girl Scout cookies for quite a few years, so I feel good that I haven't supported them.

message 6449: by Kandice (new)

Kandice In our house we always say we are "testing to make sure it's not posionous"! I do it to mu kids all the time when they have a treat. "Let me just taste that and make sure it's not poison." They laugh, I get a bite, and we're all happy. I do the same thing with dinners. I am really glad you like it! Use a really absorbent roll so you can put on lots of sauce;)

message 6450: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 1000 comments Ok, I've been "missing" for a few days so I just have to ask...what's the deal with all the pics of guys (including some shirtless ones) showing up on my update feed? Is that why the thread is now titled Naughty Thoughts?? LOL
