message 6002: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) LOL.

I'm sure we could take it to XXX very easily.

message 6003: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) There we go! Great minds think alike Fiona! LOL

message 6004: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Hey Jackie! I'm not sure why I didn't enjoy the Tudors more, but yeah...guess HC just wasn't enough to keep me interested. :(

I'm still glad I am watching it though, I'll probably still get the next disk.

message 6005: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) haha...and I'm off to start Jane Eyre!

Or...I suppose you could call it a return to innocence :P

message 6006: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Eh, I guess I'll get back to homework :/

message 6007: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ...GR really is too addicting. Although I suppose its actually you girls, not the website itself :)

message 6008: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Yeah, we are a great group to talk too :D

message 6009: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hahaha.

message 6010: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yes...but in comparison...

message 6011: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) well, Elizabeth Gaskell wrote one of the most romantic stories I've ever read and couldn't even write the word "kiss". haha...so I'm not surprised. Bet she wouldn't let her daughter watch The Tudors if she was 40!

message 6012: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) grr. Watching Jane Eyre is way too boring when I really want to be reading Howl's.

message 6013: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I am watching murder announced online!!!!! that is real joy~

you shouldn't interrupt the movie!!!! I watched that movie when i was alone at home in Nottingham and had so much fun watching it.

message 6015: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments watching miss marple online makes me realize I don't only miss having my agatha christie books with me but also watching the agatha christie serie on tv.

I planned to go and walk for some hours but it seems that every time I do that it is raining hard. Weather today:3degrees celcius, lots of rain and strong wind...... might be a reading day...but I really want to walk!!!! It is just that it are my exploring walks, not knowing how it will be and what I will see and ten this weather doesn't encourage me. Otherwise I don't mind at all. Like at home in Belgium or Italy I jsut go outisde and walk even in this weather or worse....

okay, going because my boyfriend wants to watch th eonline church service online, so I am going out of the ream or put music on on my mp3. Maybe going to clean.... and then reading!!!!! oh and watching the rest of miss marple on the computer...

message 6016: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I admit to barely skimming what I have missed, but 9106...oh Lord!!!!! That was beautiful!!!!!

message 6017: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Just an update.
Allison-I can't really reccomend Ahab's Wife. I made myself finish it, but the end half was pretty much torturous. Sorry. I hope you didn't buy it or anything.

I saw my movie-TWICE!!!! I loved, loved, loved it! I do not care if it was not understandable to those who have not read it. It was like a love letter just to me. The first time I was in silent awe. The second time, I cried at 3 different parts. Billy Cruddup is an amazing actor!

message 6018: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it! I hate having to force myself to finish things :(

message 6019: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments Kandice did you go see your movie? If so how did you like it? Sorry I didn't get back to you till late Friday evening.

Allison (inconceivably) yay Lisa, I'm glad! Its fantastic.

message 6021: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments YAY! for Fiona...hehe

message 6022: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I just finished Rebel Angels! Now I'm going to do some laundry/dishes/cleaning so I can start TSFT before I have to go to church this evening...

message 6023: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah, I read it last night :)

message 6024: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) It was short! Rebel Angels was much longer, its taken me all day.

message 6025: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I am almost finished with AGATB. It is a really quick read. Somehow I had missed that it wa YA. Not that they are always quick. I feel like I should buy the second one, but I want to get a few others read, or I will never get my 100 books for the year!

message 6026: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Allison - I can't believe it. Do you usually read like 4 books in a weekend? WTH??

message 6027: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) AGATB doesn't come off very YA to me, besides their ages.

I haven't done a thing this weekend :P I just cleaned the bathroom and put some laundry away so my husband won't kill me for being lazy.

message 6028: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) But seriously....4 books? I don't think I could do that, even without any family here, or any chores to do. That's a ton of reading.

message 6029: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) its just 3! lol.

message 6030: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Howl's, and the first 2 Gemma Doyle's. I'm about to start TSFT

message 6031: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) no I won't...it is like 800 pages, and I have to go to a church thing

I REALLY hope I don't get so hooked I can't sleep tonight :\

message 6032: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah, its only out in hardback. bummer.

message 6033: by Jackie (last edited Mar 08, 2009 05:29PM) (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Allison, you're so funny and humble about your speed reading. "It's just 3"...phsshhh that's nothing! LOL

How did you enjoy the first 2 Gemma Doyle's?

message 6034: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) very addicting, but strange

message 6035: by Jackie (last edited Mar 08, 2009 05:36PM) (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) That's true. How far are you into the third book?

message 6036: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I just got to page 40...enjoying it so far, nothing much has happened yet :)

message 6037: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) It goes pretty quickly once the action starts. I felt like she threw everything including the kitchen sink into these books. Every character had some kind of drama.

(pops her head in)

Just checking in. I havent opened this thread in awhile and I just noticed it had 6000 unread messages by me. Holy crap!

Is everything ok in here? Is this where the party is? Wow..... over 9,000 posts total in just this one topic....!!!

(pops her head back out)

message 6039: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) She is very humble about her speed reading - for some reason she seems embarrassed about it. I don't know why when we're all jealous!

message 6040: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) *hugs Laura*

message 6041: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) LOL...Lori, I think most of those post are pics of hot men (well, mostly Henry Cavill).

Seriously, I would kill to read that fast. I'm proud of myself if I can fit 100 pages in a day. :)

message 6042: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) *pass me some of them genes of yours pooch*

message 6043: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hehe...I would if I could ;)

message 6044: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I didn't even see Lori's message.

That was cute Lori! Yes, this is where the action is happenin'
