Allison (inconceivably) that snuck right up

message 5302: by Kandice (new)

Kandice It's such a thrill to get the last post in on a page!!!

message 5303: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I told you I was allowing myself 12 dark chocolate covered espresso beans for a snack. I have only 2 left now

message 5304: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I would share. You wouldn't need to steal. They are wonderful, but I think I may end up with bad breath. Oh well!

message 5305: by Kandice (new)

Kandice True...very true...

message 5306: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Do they have Dove Promises in England? Dove is this really melty, creamy chocolate, wrapped in pretty foil, that when you smooth it out has a "love" phrase on it. It's supposed to be a promise.

message 5307: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) My daughter loves those! You don't have them, right Fiona?

message 5308: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Laura-that was really sweet of you! Cheetos and chocolate. Hope you sent a toothbrush too! ;)

message 5309: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Well I've been known to wax poetic on 2 topics:

cream cheese

AND

roasted weenies.

So I saw this bag of cheese-y snacks - all cheesy. And I thought Fiona should have some cheesy snacks, since I can't exactly mail her cream cheese. Wouldn't be any point, she has it anyway. And Kraft c.c. to boot!

Heard from that job yet Fiona?

OK - is NOrth & South really better than P&P cuz if it is, I'm gonna read it next. I have it from the library and haven't read it yet. I don't know why maybe it was all that LOOP talk....but I haven't even started it!

message 5310: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Hey Fiona! Do you have Triscuits crackers??

message 5311: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Triscuits are the best. I love the new flavors they have. Cracked black pepper and olive oil is one. I like them broiled in the oven with cheese and a tomatoe slice, especially.

I think N&S is better than P&P.

message 5312: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I've never tried the flavors, just the reduced fat ones so the c.c. doesn't add quite so many lbs.

Triscuits Fiona? In bonny old England?

message 5313: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) They're super crunchy and whole wheat I think. They look criss cross-y. LIke a mini checker board.

message 5314: by Kandice (new)

Kandice They look like they are woven, the side of a basket or a mat. A bit like shredded wheat but harder.

message 5315: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Ha! I didn't see your post before I said that about shredded wheat, but...yeah!

message 5316: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I love them I love them! Wish they weren't so dratted expensive tho.

Anyway....nite nite u guys. Gotta go to bed & do it all again tomorrow....can't wait for April 16 !!!

message 5317: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Wal_mart is the cheapest place to buy them. I know you're going to bed, but... Usually $2 a box.

message 5318: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Yayyyy for 8,000!! I know I'm like 29 messages late.

message 5319: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Wowww. You guys just need 100 more posts to top the roleplay.

I'm impressed.

message 5320: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I'm supposed to be doing homework, but it's so boring I decided to come on here.

message 5321: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Goodreads is as addictive as Twitter, Facebook and Myspace.

More addictive, I'd say.

message 5322: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) There's more intelligence here than on those other websites. lol

message 5323: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Haha, true.

Although we still have kids who talk like ditz.

message 5324: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Ugh, don't remind me! I try not to click into those groups. They give me a headache trying to figure out the nothingness that they're talking about.

message 5325: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments It makes me grind my teeth, and suddenly want to get a walker and start saying "You damn kids!"

message 5326: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Well, some are just random groups, not involving books. And they CANNOT spell. I don't mind it when people choose txt spk when they do write normally the majority of the time. But they just use it ALL the time.

message 5327: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Exactly.

message 5328: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) It makes me wonder if they really do read. I mean if you check out some of the profiles they only have a couple of books listed. Most of the conversations are about school, celebrities, etc. It's nothing really of substance.

message 5329: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Well, they're here I think, they just do not post.

message 5330: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Night Fi!

message 5331: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Good night Fiona!

I'm out of here too. I really have to concentrate. lol.

message 5332: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Haha, Good luck Jackie!

message 5333: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) haha...40 messages since I left, nice.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Allison wrote: "AUGH! I want to read your Rome series so bad Kandice!! I just know once I start I'll want to read them all, so I'm trying to read a few things before I get going with it."

Me too!!!!

BY the way. It is half a day earlier than I come on normally and more than 300 posts already....

message 5335: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments my comment didn't go on!!!!

message 5336: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I said not to post too much as I won't have much time this evening. now I am going to match some credits agaisnt debit notes, 78 only returns and for one customer so that the account gets cleaned up a bit and open stuff from last year dissapears finally.

message 5337: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) morning everybody!

message 5338: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) aww, Fiona...it got even worse ever I sent you my crazy ranting message! I had to read about him moping around, it was very sad.

If I only I could have comforted him...

message 5339: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hmm...maybe that'll be easier to get used to though :)

message 5340: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I'm excited, my favorite band (Building 429) is playing live on the radio station I stream while I'm at work.

message 5341: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Does stream mean the same thing to you as it does to me? lol. I just mean I play the radio on my computer from the net.

message 5342: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Fiona wrote: "This keyboard has a cool power button - only I thought it was for the keyboard itself... only it's for my laptop. Duh! Does make it easier to turn this thing off now though."

hahaha. I love pushing buttons! Cool.

message 5343: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Good morning everyone!

message 5344: by Kandice (new)

Kandice An exciting thing happened last night. My daughter plays indoor soccer on Tuesdays, so it's a much smaller field. She scored twice, as the goalee! It doesn't count, because someone else has to touch the ball before it goes in the other net, but she just wanted to see if she could do it!

message 5345: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) mornin' Kandice

message 5346: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Last ight something crazy happened at work. As soon as I am finished with breakfast for the kids, I want to tell you girls.

message 5347: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) YAY for your daughter!

message 5348: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice wrote: "Last ight something crazy happened at work. As soon as I am finished with breakfast for the kids, I want to tell you girls."

*anxiously waiting*

message 5349: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Hey have you guys ever tried Pandora.com? It's great for streaming music, it's free, you can skip songs up to a certain point, and you can make stations based around artists you like, and it will play that artist and similar artists. It's very cool !

message 5350: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Okay, the building where I work is 6 stories. We handle contract disputes for a cell phone company. We never see customers in person, which is good, because most of them are upset about something. Anyway, recently, they switched us to the bottom floor, and moved the recently archived contracts to the top 2 floors. (where we used to be)
Last night the recptionist left early (without telling anyone) and a man wandered in screaming and yelling about his dispute! My boss and I had to spend about 45 minutes calming him down, and it was fairly scary! She actually had sweat marks under her arms before the guy left! It was crazy!
We are the last two left in the office, and normally the receptionist locks the front up, but she forgot. It was awful.
