Allison (inconceivably) only half an hour til I get to go home :-)

message 5253: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) i am craving chicken like...big time. I'm thinking about hitting up KFC.

Except its so greasy :(

message 5254: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Biggest Loser comes on tonight! YAY!

HAHA-what a horrible night to have KFC :\

message 5255: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) LOL. I love KFC's chicken strips.

message 5256: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) mkay, I added to the Watchmen to my "to get" TBR list.

message 5257: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I like boneless hot wings from KFC. The hottest.

message 5258: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I can always just get a $1 chicken strip sandwich at Sonic.

mmm...then after only spending a dollar...surely it would be okay to get ice cream...

message 5259: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Pork is the best meat. It's nice and moist, tender, juicy...yum.

message 5260: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Chicken can be really good if you prepare it right.

message 5261: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) chicken is my favorite. :)

message 5262: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) maybe thats because I always eat it spicy though, haha.

message 5263: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) there is an Amish restaurant about 30 minutes away that makes the BEST STINKING PORK CHOPS I could ever even imagine.

message 5264: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I like lamb, (no mint stuff-blech)but no one else in my family eats it, so I never make it. I have a friend from Syria that cooks a lot of lamb and will share pretty often:)

message 5265: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I just discovered The Bronze Horseman! It looks gooooood. I saw you've read it, Fiona.

message 5266: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Its about time you give me a book NOT to read.

lol.

message 5267: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) the thread "unputdownable novels" A girl listed a ton of them, and I agreed with every single one except Bronze Horseman, because I'd never heard of it...so I checked it out, haha.

message 5268: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You have GOT to stop discovering books!!!!!

message 5269: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) :(

yes ma'am.

message 5270: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ...although you are certainly right!

message 5271: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) mkay...I'm off work :) I'll probably get on when I get home :P

see y'all in a bit!

message 5272: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I am too afraid to add too many to my TBR list that I don't already have. It becomes so overwhelming! I swear, before GR, I just browsed, found a book that looked intersting, read it, went shopping again. Now it's become this tangled skein of emotions and actions!!!!

message 5273: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You are already so everwhelmed! I would have nightmares of book avalanches, I think.

message 5274: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I guess if you have to go some way, a way involving books would be best.

message 5275: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Oh gross! That sounds like "the death of a thousand cuts" they refer to in those Kung-Fu movies.

message 5276: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I had no idea there were a book 4 or 5. I bought those 3 books together, thinking they were it! I'll have to look now.
I do like mysteries, ranging from Christie or Gardner to Cornwell. Any kind of who-dunnit is good, and if I learn something along the way... well, that's even better!

message 5277: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments ok I leave for the afternoon and when I get back now there is 165 posts to read. LOL

message 5278: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments Yes, yes it could be...lol I wish I could say I got all this reading done while I was away...I didn't :~(
Oh well there is always tonight and tomorrow...hehe

message 5279: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I have come to realize that you can really skim all our mindless posts, and get the general drift... We are striving toward a goal, after all;)

message 5280: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Hey, we haven't had one of those funny Spams in a while. The kind everyone makes fun of? We need a good Spam. (how unlikely a phrase...)

message 5281: by Kandice (last edited Mar 03, 2009 04:44PM) (new)

Kandice Do you mean rice crackers (thin, white, very crunchy) with chili powder on them? That sounds good.

message 5282: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Oh, well that makes sense. I would like a snack.

message 5283: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You're eating chili and chocolate? That just doesn't seem to go together:0
I'm eating dark chocolate covered espresso beans. I laid out 12 and am pacing myself...

message 5284: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I'm reading about Watchmen, and htis is too funny...

"[19:] Moore recalled that he was unsure if DC would allow the creators to depict the character as fully nude, which partially influenced how they portrayed the character.[3:] Gibbons wanted to be tasteful in depicting Manhattan's nudity, selecting carefully when full frontal shots would occur and giving him "understated" genitals — like a classical sculpture — so the reader would not initially notice it."

How do you not notice a very tall, naked, blue guy?

message 5285: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) all I can picture is a naked Smurf...hahaha.

message 5286: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) N&S is fantastic :-) I have been reading it.

message 5287: by Kandice (new)

Kandice This one is also bald! If I could post a picture, I would. He also wears, occasionally, this crazy z-shaped kind of speedo thingy. Very identifiable. If the movie ends up being anywhere as popular as they think it will be, you will see him all over!

message 5288: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) you already said we'd see him all over ;)

message 5289: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Definitely not a naked smurf! Makes me think of Emilee.

message 5290: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I'm going to have to change my 5 star reviews of Jane Eyre and P&P...neither of them deserves the same rating as N&S

Its quite possible I'm obsessed with this book.

message 5291: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I thought about Emilee too!

message 5292: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Yeh, yeah, I guess that was a verbal faux-pas!!!! (you funny girl)

message 5293: by Allison (last edited Mar 03, 2009 05:06PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Fiona wrote: "Yay! You make me wanna re-read it. "

You should, sometime! It is the type of book you can always get more out of, what with all the industrial and strike business.

message 5294: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Sometimes I want to go back and lower a books starts, but then I feel guilty. I never do it, because I figure I must have thought they deserved it at the time.

message 5295: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Fiona-Can she hear him?

message 5296: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I have only 4 beans left>:(

message 5297: by Allison (new)

FIONA! That was my favorite part of the movie. I just...died. I just got shivers from thinking about it.

I just read the dinner party that the Hales go to at the Thorntons', and he describes her and it made me feel warm and fuzzy :)

message 5298: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice wrote: "Yeh, yeah, I guess that was a verbal faux-pas!!!! (you funny girl)"

hehe...not funny so much as dirty :)

message 5299: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I read that book a long time ago. I have to say I get a lot of those lovelorn, English books mixed up. I enjoy them while I am reading them, but then they get muddled in my head.

message 5300: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) 8000!!!!
