Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Allison, the image in my head of you and food is getting very confusing and weird....

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments Oh my I just got back from a walk and sure enough I have a 30% off coupon for Borders in my mailbox. Now I want to go buy the Howls and the other book Fiona is pushing on here...lol

message 5103: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) LOL...Jeane! I know, I must sound crazy. I brought leftover homemade pizza though, and I'll probably get hungry and eat it this afternoon :)

message 5104: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) that week I ate random stuff was just because I was too lazy to go grocery shopping, it doesn't count! hehe.

message 5105: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I brought homemade chicken salad. I like to eat it scooped on tortilla chips. Yum!

message 5106: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) LOL...I pack my lunch based on what seems easiest to eat without spilling it on myself while I read :)

message 5107: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments mmm You ladies are making me hungry

message 5108: by Allison (last edited Mar 03, 2009 11:34AM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) You also wouldn't regret taking a look at Graceling. :-D

message 5109: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I'm going to start Howl's...soon. I need to finish The Stand, dang it.

message 5110: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) loooooving it :-)

message 5111: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I know! Knowing me, I'll probably watch it when I finish the book...then AGAIN next weekend with my mom.

Wait...who cares? If nothing else, I can stare at Richard Armitage (isn't that his name?)

message 5112: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) aww, Fiona...I wanna watch it with yoooooou! *pouts*

message 5113: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Fiona wrote: "Allison wrote: "aww, Fiona...I wanna watch it with yoooooou! *pouts*"

Stupid Atlantic ocean!"

for real.

message 5114: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) that would!

I really want to see that one we talked about...based on the last Dicken's book, can't remember the title. I'll have to Netflix it.

message 5115: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I already have the Tudors and Lilies lining up though...

message 5116: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I really want to see Bleak House, but I want to read it first.

message 5117: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah, thats it!

message 5118: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) most of it is avaiable instantly...so I might just watch it that way.

message 5119: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I used to have quite a few BBC mini-series on *gasp* VHS tape. I never replaced them with DVD's, but I remember watching Pride and Prejudice until it didn't play smoothly anymore.

message 5120: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah, I have P&P on DVD :-) I LOVE Colin Firth. *sigh*

I've never seen the BBC Jane Eyre, is it good?

message 5121: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) P&P, N&S, and Wives and Daughters are the only ones I've seen, I think.

message 5122: by Kandice (last edited Mar 03, 2009 11:59AM) (new)

Kandice Ummm... the P&P I had was from the very early 80's, so not Colin Firth! LOL

message 5123: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) LOL...you should watch this one then ;)

message 5124: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) you mean I must see Tom Jones?

message 5125: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) You know what bugs me? Jane is supposed to be so beautiful (in P&P), but in EVERY adaptation I've seen (which is 4 I think), she is played by someone very funny looking.

:\

message 5126: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah, I think the one on Netflix I saw is with Timothy Dalton...I like him too.

message 5127: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I have NOT seen the one with Firth, but I DID have something with Timothy Dalton. I don't remember whcih, but it may have been Jane Eyre since that's the right time frame for me.

message 5128: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) What is Lillies about?

message 5129: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Tom Jones and Our Mutual Friend are both available instantly, and I already have Cranford on the list of stuff I'm renting.

message 5130: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/Our_Mu...

Fiona, can you open that link? Do you think that disk it says its missing to watch instantly is extra or part of the movie?

message 5131: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I would watch a 24 hour movie documentary about pouring cereal GLADLY if Colin Firth was in it.

message 5132: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I think he's okay, but maybe one must see the wet shirt scene to truly appreciate his......
acting ability?

message 5133: by Kandice (new)

Kandice echo 7745

message 5134: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I was afraid of that.

Well it has 6 episodes, about 50 minutes each all instantly, then it says "Dickens: The Final Chapter" is the last disk, ands its unavailable.

message 5135: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Ah, then it must be good. :-) I have to see if Blockbuster has it then.

message 5136: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Mr. Thornton is WAY hotter (and not a prick).

message 5137: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) there are only 2 disks to rent, but instantly its seperated by episode.

Good! Now I don't have to be scared I'll watch it all then not see the end or something, haha.

I'll watch that and Tom Jones both soon :-)

message 5138: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) needing sleep is very inconvenient. Think of what you could do with those hours.

hmph.

message 5139: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) is Mansfield Park really good too? I know nothing about the plot at all...never read it or heard much about it.

message 5140: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hehe. we've done her proud ;-)

almost 8000 proud!

message 5141: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Fiona wrote: "Allison wrote: "needing sleep is very inconvenient. Think of what you could do with those hours.

hmph."

I know. And food. I hate eating, it's such a pain.

I have eye ache.
"

HEY! Isn't your dr. appt. tomorrow for your neck?

message 5142: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Yeah I can't see the link right now thanks to work. I'll try to remember when I get home though.

message 5143: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) me too, Jackie! I have them on my list at NF, but it might be a little while before I get to them.

If you watch it, lemme know what you think.

Although if Fiona likes it as much as ICTC...its gotta be good :)

message 5144: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Fiona wrote: "Some people find their accents hard to understand... particularly if you're not British as the scouse accent is pretty thick - though in Lilies I think they watered it down for the sake of the view..."

happy reading!

message 5145: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) work is so annoying.

I want to go home and read too :(

message 5146: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Allison- it'll probably be a while before I get to it too. I still have the rest of the Tudors and Rome to get through. I love GR for all the recs, but they are flooding my TBR and Blockbuster account.

message 5147: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ME TOO! I was just thinking...great, not only books...but TV!

Two TV series (Tudors, Lilies) and 2 mini-series Our Mutual Friend, Tom Jones) I want to watch soon.

message 5148: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ...ALL OF IT IS BECAUSE OF FIONA.

Well, except the Tudors.

...well, and Our Mutual Friend, I wanted to watch that anyway.

but its still HALF her fault...that little pusher.

message 5149: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) :)

message 5150: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) we really will get to 8000 soon.
