Kandice Have to leave for my commute. Bet there's 100 when I get back. Try not to reveal anything Earth shattering, okay?

message 5055: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments Hmm what can we talk about that is earth shattering? LOL Just Kidding Kandice. ;~)

Allison (inconceivably) Fiona wrote: "I thought my getting a book was quite earth shattering enough."

*YAWN*

message 5058: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) hehe, just kidding!

I buy books quite often even though I try not to.

message 5059: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments LOL...Fiona, Fiona....you keep adding to your TBR pile...

message 5060: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I'm here. There was NO traffic, which is weird.

BTW love "Shaddap". That's the best Britishism yet!

message 5061: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I would agree, but as it was directed to me...

message 5062: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Fiona-How did you see how many times you have posted in TNBBC? Or, for that matter, how many people have looked at this?

message 5063: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice, you can click on your name (not your picture) and it shows how many posts you have.

On the GR homepage, it should show how many people have looked at each thread.

message 5064: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) (even though I'm not Fiona)

message 5065: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) now this group says "675 views"

message 5066: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I'm glad it's not 666 anymore!

message 5067: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Allison, I commented on your comment on Ahab's Wife. When you have time, would you look? :)

message 5068: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Kandice wrote: "Allison, I commented on your comment on Ahab's Wife. When you have time, would you look? :)"

I read your comment...and then went and added it to my TBR shelf :-) haha. But its okay, I just looked online, and my library has it...so I don't have to buy it.

message 5069: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments good job Allison no buying books...lol ;~)

You all know I have no room to talk...I try so hard not to buy anymore books but every payday I usually find something I want. My husband is starting to get irritated with me...LOL

message 5070: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I buy most of mine at the thrift store, so very, very cheap, but I do let myself spend about $20 a paycheck on new books. If a Stephen King or Colleen McCullough come out, I buy them no matter what, but otherwise...

message 5071: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments LOL yeah I will try that approach, Fiona...hehe

message 5072: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I just got a couple of coupons from Borders and they're just dying to be used.

message 5073: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I am such a ninny. My kids have Broders cards, but I never saw the point. NOW, I realize they send coupons to your e-mail if you have them. They just gave me 2, so I need to decide what to buy:)

message 5074: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Well, Howl's of course, that's a no brainer. I'm not buying a whole series at first, though!!!

message 5075: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I haven't decided either on what I want. There is nothing really out there that is calling me at the moment. I might end up getting the DVD set of the Tudors instead.

message 5076: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Do coupons at Borders apply to DVD's as well? I really want to get Tudors. It looks good, and we don't have Showtime.

message 5077: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments what is Howl's?

Allison wrote: "I get my hair cut by a really good friend of mine from church, so I love going and catching up with her. She has two kids in high school, and she always has a ton of interesting stories for me :)"

Becky, YES! That is what I mean. I know my hair and how I want it. I go in adn tell them what I want them to do and even pay them for it. Then I don't care they think a certain hair cut would be nicer with my face and yes the way they cut it is very nice and in but it isn't what i want it, it isn't me!

message 5079: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I've used my coupons in the past for DVDs without any problems. As long as it doesn't specify book on the coupon you're good. I saw the box set was on sale for $20, but I can't remember if it was at Walmart or Target. I have to look at the circulars again to figure out if the coupons are worth using for Tudors.

message 5080: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Fiona- I swear if you push any more books at me! I am just going to have to start sending my book allowance directly to you!!!!
He likes book swith not one whit of romance or smooching! Not neccesarily war or fighting, just no love.

message 5081: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) How old is he Kandice? The Percy Jackson books are pretty good. I just read the first one, but it has action, adventure, and humor.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Becky wrote: "My hair is thick and super-curly underneath, and wavy on top... I have deformed hair! So I just want a cute short hairstyle that isn't TOO short but is easy to maintain... IE: Wash and go. I hate ..."

yesyesyes...jezus you are the first person ever that says the same thing about going to the hairdresser!!!! I want also a short cut but not toooo short or I look like a boy. My hair is very thick too and when I let it grow it jsut gets toooo big and thick curly way but in between it goes wherever it wants. I can put it behind my ears and it would just go where it wants. I also let my hair dry natural. wash it and that is it. Don't use a brush because it makes it thick, double volume and don't even need ten minutes in the morning.

message 5083: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Jackie, if it's $20 somewhere, that has to be cheaper than Borders with a coupon. I've noticed that unless thier on super sale or clearance, their DVDs are expensive. I will definitely look for it.

message 5084: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Jeane-I wish you could post a picture when you get your haircut! :)

message 5090: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I think I'll have to look at Spirited Away if I can find it. Some of that anime is gorgeous. The stories are so mature, too. No Looney Tune-ish, if you know what I mean.

message 5099: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I have one for 30% off and one for 25% off for my b-day. I printed both, but I'm not sure if I will use them.

message 5100: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) My stomach actually hurts today (not sure why), so all I had was a granola bar. Not exciting at all.
