Have to leave for my commute. Bet there's 100 when I get back. Try not to reveal anything Earth shattering, okay?
Fiona-How did you see how many times you have posted in TNBBC? Or, for that matter, how many people have looked at this?
Kandice, you can click on your name (not your picture) and it shows how many posts you have.On the GR homepage, it should show how many people have looked at each thread.
Kandice wrote: "Allison, I commented on your comment on Ahab's Wife. When you have time, would you look? :)"I read your comment...and then went and added it to my TBR shelf :-) haha. But its okay, I just looked online, and my library has it...so I don't have to buy it.
good job Allison no buying books...lol ;~)You all know I have no room to talk...I try so hard not to buy anymore books but every payday I usually find something I want. My husband is starting to get irritated with me...LOL
I buy most of mine at the thrift store, so very, very cheap, but I do let myself spend about $20 a paycheck on new books. If a Stephen King or Colleen McCullough come out, I buy them no matter what, but otherwise...
I am such a ninny. My kids have Broders cards, but I never saw the point. NOW, I realize they send coupons to your e-mail if you have them. They just gave me 2, so I need to decide what to buy:)
I haven't decided either on what I want. There is nothing really out there that is calling me at the moment. I might end up getting the DVD set of the Tudors instead.
Do coupons at Borders apply to DVD's as well? I really want to get Tudors. It looks good, and we don't have Showtime.
Becky wrote: "It's almost time for me to chop off all of my hair again. I hate doing it though, because nobody ever cuts it the way I want. I know EXACTLY what I want it to look like, but the person doing it alw..."Allison wrote: "I get my hair cut by a really good friend of mine from church, so I love going and catching up with her. She has two kids in high school, and she always has a ton of interesting stories for me :)"
Becky, YES! That is what I mean. I know my hair and how I want it. I go in adn tell them what I want them to do and even pay them for it. Then I don't care they think a certain hair cut would be nicer with my face and yes the way they cut it is very nice and in but it isn't what i want it, it isn't me!
I've used my coupons in the past for DVDs without any problems. As long as it doesn't specify book on the coupon you're good. I saw the box set was on sale for $20, but I can't remember if it was at Walmart or Target. I have to look at the circulars again to figure out if the coupons are worth using for Tudors.
Fiona- I swear if you push any more books at me! I am just going to have to start sending my book allowance directly to you!!!!He likes book swith not one whit of romance or smooching! Not neccesarily war or fighting, just no love.
How old is he Kandice? The Percy Jackson books are pretty good. I just read the first one, but it has action, adventure, and humor.
Becky wrote: "My hair is thick and super-curly underneath, and wavy on top... I have deformed hair! So I just want a cute short hairstyle that isn't TOO short but is easy to maintain... IE: Wash and go. I hate ..."yesyesyes...jezus you are the first person ever that says the same thing about going to the hairdresser!!!! I want also a short cut but not toooo short or I look like a boy. My hair is very thick too and when I let it grow it jsut gets toooo big and thick curly way but in between it goes wherever it wants. I can put it behind my ears and it would just go where it wants. I also let my hair dry natural. wash it and that is it. Don't use a brush because it makes it thick, double volume and don't even need ten minutes in the morning.
Jackie, if it's $20 somewhere, that has to be cheaper than Borders with a coupon. I've noticed that unless thier on super sale or clearance, their DVDs are expensive. I will definitely look for it.
Kandice wrote: "That' pretty cool. I always wanted a sword. You know the "real" ones you hang on your wall? I think my husband would draw the line there. :)"my sister has a lotr sword hanginf at her wall. very nice.
Kandice wrote: "Yes. Excellent book! I liked the movie too, but I think I imagined the kimono better than they showed you. I like books set in China Too."Don't want to read or see anything with China this evening!!!!
Fiona wrote: "Cramps. Probably all those wotsits giving me indigestion.I'm not one much for Japanese stuff really... strangely.
Have you seen the Studio Ghibli movies like SPirited Away? I love all of those."
I saw spirited away! nice
Rachel wrote: "Geez, my day has been so busy, and every time I come in here there are a bajillion new posts. I think Fiona's challenge has gone to everyone's head!"They were so nice to put in a boring, not interesting training in from 1-4 today for me....
Lisa wrote: "Ok Ladies what should I read next for the Spring challenge? My choices are (I'm trying to stick to 25 points for the moment) Real Murders and The Gospel According to Oprah? Those are my books that..."murder on the orient express!!!!
I think I'll have to look at Spirited Away if I can find it. Some of that anime is gorgeous. The stories are so mature, too. No Looney Tune-ish, if you know what I mean.

Have you seen Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, or House of Flying Daggers? They are so, so beautiful.
Kandice wrote: "Jackie, if it's $20 somewhere, that has to be cheaper than Borders with a coupon. I've noticed that unless thier on super sale or clearance, their DVDs are expensive. Kandice wrote: "Jeane-I wish you could post a picture when you get your haircut! :) "noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, the only thing i think about when leaving the hairdresser si bandanas!!!!

I don't even want to think about anything chinese this evening!
Fiona wrote: "Pssst Jeane: http://www.worldbookday.com/world_boo..."there are posters and we got an e-mail about the part on the first page 'bring a book buy a book' but I think i didn't read further after the part of bring a book......me bring a book?
I have one for 30% off and one for 25% off for my b-day. I printed both, but I'm not sure if I will use them.
