Kandice I think I told you before, but I have a platinum "spinner" ring of the "One Ring". I love it. When I wear it, I wear it on my thumb.

message 4952: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ugh. I couldn't figure it out. It would come up as an image, but with the red x like there was an error.

message 4953: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I took french in school for 3 years, and owuld have sworn I had forgotten all of it, but there's a foreing exchange student my son brought home, and I had a pretty respectable conversation with him. Especially since I graduated more than 20 years ago:)

message 4954: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) [image error]

message 4955: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) thats all I can make it do :( I don't get it.

message 4956: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You are such a brat! I clicked on it. I have to say, I pretty much love everything I have ever read set in Japan. Of course you know Shogun is my all time favorite, but I love lots of thers too.

DARN YOU!!!!!!!!!

message 4957: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) well I got the pic on facebook, do I need to drop it in from the facebook link, or from the pathway saved on the computer?

message 4958: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ohhhhhh.

message 4959: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) :D

message 4960: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) k I don't have time for that...I'll work on it later.

message 4961: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) unless i can do it from the facebook link?

message 4962: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I love Memoirs of a Geisha! Well, except the ending.

But all the descriptions and things...

message 4963: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Yes. Excellent book! I liked the movie too, but I think I imagined the kimono better than they showed you. I like books set in China Too.

message 4964: by Kandice (new)

Kandice The ending was a little... well, silly. I don't buy that happy ending crap for that time frame in that country. Otherwise...gorgeous book!

message 4965: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Do you girls like Wu-Xia movies? I can't get enough of them!

message 4966: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Never heard of Wu-Xia.

message 4967: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero, House of Flying Daggers...?

message 4968: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Do you have cramps, or nausea?

message 4969: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) ooohhhh.

Never seen any of them.

message 4970: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I just think those movies are so beautiful. There's violence, and I know hwo weirs this will sound, but it's so calm. It's not all yelling, gunshots, screeching tires... whatnot. And the costumes...eye candy! If you liked Crouching Tiger, you should definitely see Hero. It is so, so, so good and really makes you think.

message 4971: by Kandice (new)

Kandice No. What kind of movie is it?

message 4972: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) haha...I'm so bad with names. Every time I go in to give my boss a phone message I'm like "Okay Steve from called and..." so I tell him the message, and he just looks at me and says "um, you mean Dave?"

*cough* Yeah, thats what I said :-D

then 10 minutes later..."Okay Jeremy called from so-and so...." then after I relay the message..."um, you mean Jackson?"

"Well I know thats what I mean, what do YOU mean?"

LOL. I suck with names.

message 4973: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I can't believe we're over halfway to 8000! Freaky.

message 4974: by Allison (last edited Mar 02, 2009 01:08PM) (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Sounds to me like you have chlamydia!

LOL...just kidding, thats an STD.

I have a 10 year old cousin that always says "sounds to me like you have the chicken pox!" or some other random disease every time you admit you did something wrong. It cracks me up. My mom was just telling me that he did it to her.

message 4975: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) It was at church yesterday...my mom apperantly was talking about her shoes not fitting right...he was like "aww man, thats gotta be the rhino virus!"

LOL.

message 4976: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah...I really have no clue how old he is, haha. He is probably younger then 10.

message 4977: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Rachel, I've never heard of Iron Monkey, I'll have to check it out too.

message 4978: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Kung Fu sounds so corny. It always makes me think of the 70's t.v. series. I'll have to look too. I really do like those kinds of movies.

message 4979: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I thought the original Matrix was so brilliant. I was disapointed in the second installment, and the third just, well, it sucked. We have them all, but the only one I re-watch is the first. It was such a great idea.
Of course, I loved the choreography, but the first one was also a great story. The two went together so well.
I will for sure look for Iron Monkey. It sounds like my kind of thing.

message 4980: by Kandice (new)

Kandice You can't ask and then say "Don't tell me" you goof!
How far are you?

message 4981: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Weird and scary things happen, but there will be no heartbreaking until almost the end. Mind you, I did not use the word die.

message 4982: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) oh good..."don't worry, you won't be heartbroken until you've invested your time and read 1200 pages!"

LOL. Gotta love that SK.

message 4983: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Oh, please! Don't be babies! Not all of his books are so long. Besides, that's what we are looking for when we read. Our hearts to bleed, our eyes to tear, our anger to rise. He delivers all of those, he just has the gift of delivering. ALWAYS!!!!

message 4984: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I'm on my lunch. I feel lonely because everyone is either busy or out of the office. It's weird how some days I wish everyone would just go away, and other days...I wish they would come back:(

message 4985: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) *hugs lonely Kandice even though she called me a baby*

message 4986: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Some people use that as a term of endearment;) (thank you)

message 4987: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I just keep it on my toggle thing now, at work, so it's easy to post away. I don't check that often at home:)

Did you try the apples, Rachel?

message 4988: by Kandice (new)

Kandice $#*&^ ^$$(*(& ^^%$**( &^% ^$&&^&&

I answered you in code:)

message 4989: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) now, FIONA! You know you don't want to know.

message 4990: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) why you little...

yeah, you're right. I'm a dummy.

message 4991: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Its pretty dumb.

Although reading North and South is really great...I know, at least basically, what happens from the movie...but I feel like I'm visiting people I know instead of reading a book where I already know what happens.

Its fun. I <3 these characters.

message 4992: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) and I'm pumped to see Confessions of a Shopaholic! Have you guys read them? The books are HILARIOUS, and super quick reads.

message 4993: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) alright ladies...I'm off work and going out to dinner/movies...so until tomorrow (or more likely, really late tonight :P)

message 4994: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I am so excited for that movie I can hardly stand myself! I even went to Hot Topic this weekend and got a "Who Watches The Watchment" T-shirt. My friend Joe and I are going right after work!!!!!!!!!!He isn't here today, but I can't wait to tell him about the shirt. I'll be teased all week, but it's so worth it.

message 4995: by Kandice (new)

Kandice GRAPHIC NOVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
;)

message 4996: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Yeah, I know... I wanted the smiley face with a drop of blood, but they were sold out:(

message 4997: by Kandice (new)

Kandice No, you just don't seem to have the weird, quirky, nerdness I suffer from. (and obviously the techies you work with too!)

message 4998: by Kandice (last edited Mar 02, 2009 03:14PM) (new)

Kandice I guess Earwax Monthly has a much smarter following! I would prefer to be the schmoe. Don't you love how some people just feel better than others? For whatever reason, when it's linked to education, it irritates me more. I used to host a bible study at my house for mothers with young children. One of the moms (a stay at home) would ALWAYS lord her degrees over the rest of us. I always wanted to say "But what did you do with it?" Not very charitable (on my part), but she was so irritating. I think it's the same kind of thing you mean.

message 4999: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I know, which is all that stayed my tongue!
