4 teens were caught after committing Mass-Murder. They were gifted with super strength and speed; and apparently, telekinesis. Besides this; all of them shared a single, unique trait.
The "Pulse" Virus.
This was a recently-discovered virus that infects teens (and apparently teens only (ages 13-19)) with a need to murder people; like a thirst that cannot be quenched. To refrain from killing people would be extremely hard, like holding your breath for am incredibly long time. Some people have associated it with vampirism; but it is definitely not the same.
The only way to get rid of the Virus is to be killed, which is extremely hard. For Mortals, anyways. Fortunately, the same scientists who discovered the virus have come up with robots that are designed to kill those infected with Pulse... Like life-sized antibodies.
Their name? "Reebots."
These "Reebots" look like normal humans, except underneath their clothes and fake elastic skin, they are entirely made of metal, wires, and Pulse-killing-power. They have enhanced reflexes, built-in sensors to detect the Virus strain in humans, and the necessary tools to kill the Pulse-infected beings.
Reports have shown that, to get the Pulse Virus, you have to be almost dead. A certain species of Cambodian Blow Flies carry the virus to your dying body, and it infects you. You apparently go through a twelve-hour stage where you are completely immobilized as your body adapts to Pulse, and when you wake up, you are, in theory, supposed to gain the enhanced speed, strength, and telekinesis.
God help us if this nightmare gets worse.
