Ah, then you've redeemed yourself somewhat as a woman. :p Women can't read roadmaps, fact of life.
Charmaine, let us read Vampire Academy now I've bought it! :p

In other words Tara, if you ever learn to drive, buy SatNav =P.From your list we'll definitely be reading it, since it looks like I'm going to be manually weeding out the votes from people who haven't commented. =)

This is going to leave quite a large tie breaker. =/
Oh, it was our most popular one when we were kids. Also had one about a racing car number 9 losing petrol all the time, but I've forgotten how it ended.

What a difference a couple of years make lol. The most popular ones for me were 'Ip Dip Sky Blue' and 'Ippy Dippy Dation, My Operation'.Awesome, I now love that one lol.
It might be place as well, as my brother is your age (well, under a year older) and they were still on dogs having flu when he was young. I've never heard of either of yours!
What's Numbers about Tara?
(Also, completely off topic, but noticed you put a Jayne Ann Krentz book on your to-read list. Most of her books contain at least 3 sex scenes, just so you know! And in that series (Arcane), she goes between past, present and future. I've only read the past ones, but I read them out of order then I found it difficult to read the earlier ones because the hero of the book I read was all on his lonesome and I already knew what was going to happen to him.)

Hmm, it must be lol.Numbers is awesome Rea. It's about this girl who can see people's numbers (the day they die) when she looks into their eyes. Numbers <---- click it, it'll lead you to the book page. (You probably already know that though lol. Also I realise I'm not Tara.)

Tara, she knows you are she was asking about a synopsis for Numbers and I got here first. =PI concur with that question. Are you talking to me about that book?
Well, you seem like you really want to read it so I was just wondering why you want to read it so much. :p The idea behind it does seem interesting. It's not going to go all sappy love story on me, is it?
So long as it's not like all this Twilightesque love story (beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep). I like a proper love story, not one where the character is madly in love with the guy because... he looks hot and won't speak to her. >.<
If it gets chosen for group read I'll read it. :)
Still waiting on both the titles from this month to be delivered. Slow poke postal service!

That's good. Too much like Twilight out there now. No paranormal creature is safe, it would seem.
I shall await the verdict of which book to read then! :p When do we get it? End of this week?

I know. The zombies will be falling in love next - oh wait they already have. XDYes it's on Saturday. I might have to make the final decision.
Lol, even I've read one about a zombie falling in love (with a half vampire, no less). But it was written from the male POV and it was also darkly humourous most of the time.
We shall put ourselves in your very capable hands! Maybe people will post a bit more before then, but I'm not counting on it.

What about offering a bit of diversity? I mean, most suggested books are teen lit or chick lit, but some people may want a mystery every now and then, or even horror.Rea, I write paranormal as well as women's fiction and my books are nothing like Twilight ;-)
Charmaine, I've heard there's already a book about zombies falling in love. It's called Die For me. I haven't read it but some of the comments were really funny.
Rea - I read a whole trilogy. It was really good, it was called Generation Dead. The computer just isn't the place for my sarcasm *shakes head in despair*.Aww thanks lol, I'm just gonna choose my favourite though lol.
Jayde - I can only put in the poll what is suggested. I did put a thriller in there but nobody has voted for it and the same happened last month. The monthly classic seems to do quite well though.
Hmm, I've not heard of that one but as I said before I have read a trilogy myself called Generation Dead. I was being sarcatic.

Tie break over: We are currently going to be reading Vampire Academy and Wuthering Heights.

I'm currently reading The Passage by Justin Cronin. Pretty full on with lots of characters and story lines but an excellent read. He has an excellent way with words and descriptions.
Why don't you go to the library Tara? Patti, are you suggesting that as a group read for July? If you aren't you've posted in the wrong topic.

Hmm, well, I still think you should find a way to join in with the group reads. It's your group after all.

It's okay, it will be for July's group read (I'm doing it with June this month so people have more time to buy the books.). The books up for June's group reads are in a poll at the moment. =)
If you've got a DS you can buy a cartridge with 100 classics on it for about 20 quid. Then if we read a classic each month you'll never have to buy it. :p I've got it but forgot I had it until too late with Frankenstein... also not sure Franky's on there.
I don't think Frankenstein's on there. Wuthering Heights is. Also a load of Dickens and Shakespeare. Can you tell I love my 100 classics? Lol.
Haha, I like it too, but I don't really like reading by staring at a screen. I prefer having a book in my hands. But it is really, really good value for money.
Me too, but it's getting really cramped so I'm getting a Kindle for Christmas (my mum has to save up for it lol).

Changing subject entirely...
Have you had any thoughts on themed months?
I was thinking the other day that a good number of the books I read are set in British Isles / USA / France. I thought it might be an idea to have an "exotic lands month" or something where all nominated books cannot be set in North America or Western Europe.

Super! :) I think it's nice to read about different lands and cultures. A lot of what's published is set in the Western world, though, so that tends to be what I read.
Could have a foreign authors month? (translated, of course). A myths and folklore / fairytale retellings month? Want me to have a think about it? See what themes I can come up with? :p
