OpenBookSociety.com (openbooksociety) | 34 comments You know, the passion, action, anticipation the mystery. The something that if you think the book does not have it then you won't bother to read it.

Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments I absolutely have to have a HEA or a satisfying ending--I need the uplift that it provides.

Timmysparks | 122 comments Some romance is always good. It makes me love the story more.

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 451 comments I need likable characters and a HEA (or at least a HFN). And, please, no cliffhangers!

Andre and Sophie (sophiem) | 165 comments romance. i swear i cannot read a book that doesn't have romance in it. a sexy supernatural man. i don't like cliffhangers either. It's like: have a happy but open ending. where it is clearly not over but it gives me a bit of... i don't know, CLOSURE. Satisfies me without completely putting out the flame.

ஐAndreaஐ (rosesrrblue) | 707 comments I need either a HEA or a HFN. . . I'm ok with cliff hangers, like I just defeated this bad guy and now I can breath with a WTF just happened moment in the end.

I can't stand when a book end and it just is what it is. I actually read a book a few weeks ago that ended by saying that he never called again oh and he gave her number to a friend.

Couldn't have said it better myself

La La | 245 comments Romance, great chemistry between characters, and hot love scenes. I don't necessarily need an HEA but I would like some kind of closure.

Fani *loves angst* (fanip) Romance, happy ending -not necessarily ever after, but a sense of closure- and tension between the heroes. I just can't stand to read lukewarm romances where the heroes seem to get on well from start to finish; I want intensity, either in the form of unfullfiled desire or bickering.

Sarah Remy (sarahremy) | 17 comments I enjoy a little angst, a little struggle in the romance.

message 13: by Charmaine (new)

Charmaine | 3 comments romance, challenges, HEA

message 14: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ There has to be something happening, I like action. Books that just plod along from one daily event to another, bore the hell out of me. I also enjoy a struggle between the H/H - not necessarily a physical struggle (though those are fun too) - but it's totally unrealistic if they never fight, yell, pout, etc. I know this is fantasy but to make it believable there needs to be real life emotions and feelings.

Aimee Laine (aimee_laine) | 49 comments Gotta have an HEA. I'll read the end before I read the beginning JUST to make sure I'm not going to get my hopes up for nothing.

The guy and the girl GOTTA be together. Everything that happens in between? The more conflict the better. Has to be REAL conflict though. Stuff that tears them apart and brings 'em back together. :)

Jessica | 72 comments Great characters. I can put up with a lot from a book if I fall in love with the people.
