I think the book could be divided up into four parts/place/stage depending on where Kvothe's action from the last one takes him to.
I read it a few weeks ago. I am getting royaly sick of these giant books that don't fit in my handbag.
I read it near release date. Liked it alot.
I'm about 3/4 through this book; one frustration is that the author put a map at the front of the book, but most of the places where the action takes place are not on the map...
@Helen, as I mentioned on the other thread, the map isn't terribly helpful so you havent missed anything (I'll bet it's there on your Kindle somewhere)
I don't recall actually feeling the urge to look at the map while reading this book. I read a dead tree copy, though - can any Kindle users verify that there is or isn't a map included?
Going to start it tonight! Meant to have cracked the cover already (so a little behind), but plan on reading and discussing this month. Am excited. =)

Maps are one of the cheesier cliches in the fantasy genre.
Hear hear
I read it as a paper book, one of the last I purchased before I went e-reader exclusive. I have a huge library of paper books in my house, but now I pretty much stick with my Kindle.

Anyway, I rarely look at any maps in any books.
