Thanks, Bridgette, for leading the discussion, and thanks for everything, Angie and Tatiana too for what you do for the group.

Does your library have OverDrive? If so, check if there is an ebook or audio book to download from your library. The app is free for your computer or mobile device and it has been my favorite way to get titles as of late because the lines are much shorter since the books have a 7 day lending period. Plus, I LOVE the audio version of Matched!
I am going to read this book as soon as I am finished with the book I am currently reading. I can't wait!

I was looking forward to reading it. I'm most of the way through now. I think it's a refreshing change from some of the books we've read here recently.

That's so true. Her parents relationship is strong and they actually love each other very much. I think this is a point of confusion for Cassia and maybe a reason why she fights for so long against her feelings for Ky. If her parents were matched by the society how can she second guess the matching system without second guessing her parents love, her family, her match with Xander... everything she knows?!?!
ughhhhh! I haven't been posting the last few days because my laptop crashed.. but now I am back. New hard drive and everything is back to new. I am half way through the book and enjoying it so far. I like dystopia books. They really make me think about how things could be in the future.

...and how to avoid making the same mistakes the designers of those civilizations made.
When I read a book about a dystopian society I try to see how that society extrapolates from our society and why that society came into existence - e.g. what faults in our society was that society trying to correct or avoid.

Please do not post any final content here--I will add a thread for Final Thoughts too--keep this one spoiler free!
