Carmel, I tried to add a photo of me but it said I had to be (whoops - I've forgotten the term for it!) like an administrator in order to change anything. I was logged in at the time.
Cheers

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 143 comments Is a kiwi author an Australian author? Like our good racehorses? If so I'd love to go on the list but won't unless someone assures me Kiwis count. My daughter and soon to be born grand-daughter are in Australia and I go over to see them. Also I was conceived in Oz myself and only came to NZ to live a week or so before I was born. Does that make me Aussie?

She's definitely part Aussie with that connection Carmel;D

message 116: by Tui (new)

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 143 comments Yes, my early impressions of Australia were that it was always very dark and humid.

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 143 comments Thank-you - I'm already added! Quick work!

message 118: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep, part Aussie to be sure. Anyway NZ and Aust are about as close in connection as it gets. :)

message 119: by Tui (new)

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 143 comments I completely agree as do all NZers . . . er . . . when it suits them ;)

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 143 comments Can be handy when trying to convince Aussies to let me be an honorary Australian. But I'm coming over in September for 12 days so might practice my Aussie accent then. Feesh and cheeps. Seedney Breedge.

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 143 comments BTW very happy today 'cos Ripple got her 20th 5-star review on Amazon and it came from a GR reader. I got two GR reviews today in one day (a personal record) so that is wonderful. Love GR. Found some great reading through it as well as some appreciative readers.

Pete Loveday (plover6345) Hi all, I would like to add my wife's name to the list of Aussie Authors -
Kate Loveday.http://www.kateloveday.com
Her books include - Inheritance, An Independent Woman, A Liberated Woman,(The Redwood Series), Reflections.
We have both recently joined Goodreads and enjoy the interaction of the groups.
Kate has her own Authors page on Goodreads and publishes her books in both Paperback and eBooks.

Inheritance
An Independent Woman (Redwoods,#1).

I can only manage to locate these two books Pete, and I think because you don't have a gap between Loveday, and the link to Kate's site, it's not working. I googled her and got the same link, which is working!

http://www.kateloveday.com/

Is it possible to link Kate's author page here as well? Thanks...you're a great hubby to do this for her;)

Carmel will add her when she gets online:)

By the way, it's great to have you both, and if you'd like to introduce yourselves to the members, so we can all welcome you, feel free here http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3...

message 140: by Pete (new)

Pete Loveday (plover6345) Brenda, thank you for your reply.
I will try again to link Kate's page to her name but the Goodreads software told me that they could not find her URL. Must be a glitch.
The book A Liberated Woman whilst written is not yet uploaded onto any eBook sites. As interest grows we will add the second book in the Redwood series and Kate is busy writing the third book.

Thanks Pete! I noticed you'd put Kate's author profile up in the Intro thread, which is good. Kate Loveday

When you can, add 'A Liberated Woman' so we can have people check it out...I for one would like to:) Great she's doing her third one as well!

Margaret Sharp (margaretlynettesharp) | 1215 comments Could I be added to the list? My name is Margaret Lynette Sharp, and my titles are, in order of publication: 25 Stories of Life and Love in Australia, A Taste of Life and Love in Australia, The Essence of Life and Love in Australia, Reflections of Life and Love in Australia, 60 Questions, Insights and Reminiscences, and, released on 11th April 2012, Long and Short Australian Stories.

Deborah Burrows | 9 comments Hi Carmel, I've just found out about this post. My debut novel, A Stranger in My Street is being published by Pan Macmillan Australia in June (book launch is coming up - very exciting!). It's a romantic murder mystery set in Perth in World War 2. I'm fourth generation Australian, born in Perth, so most certainly an Aussie author. May I go on the list?
Cheers, Deborah Burrows
