How do i find moving pictures on the internet? i want to add a moving one instead of a normal picture :-)
There are a ton of places - some safe and some not, Claire. You can do a search for "gif" files.I don't use a lot of them, but I do use:

http://www.photobucket.com/
http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/gif

Question: how do you put pics in a status update. They don't have the some html is ok place to click?
Oleander wrote: "Question: how do you put pics in a status update. They don't have the some html is ok place to click?"I usually "practice" mine in a thread, Oleander, but do NOT post it - just "preview" it. Then I "cut & paste" it to my status update. However, remember that the space is limited, so it will NOT take long ones.
can you plz tell me what i am doing wrong [image error]
the image doesn't show when i publish my review.
thnx
If it ain't good I don't read it ! wrote: "can you plz tell me what i am doing wrong"You need to have an image link that ends in .gif or .jpeg
.com will NOT work.
i tried ( gif/ jpeg) like you suggested Can you plz tell me what i am still doing wrong, the image is still the same
thnx
In Post #124, I can't even right-click to see what you are trying to post, IIAGIDRI!In Post #122 I see get this when I right-click:

Above, in Post #117 by Oleander, I get (without the * and spaces
http://www *commentsexy . com/Images/spanish-weekend/images/spanish-weekend-green-chest-moving.gif
I program in HTML all the time and could not get this to work, not sure why. Here is the code tried. I also tried .jpg .gif .png and use both Google Drive and Photobucket services:
I see it works here on your comment section, can each group admin, turn off the use of image code? I used this exact code on another group comment and nothing but a place holder.
No, the Mods don't have that ability, Mike. It could be you are missing or adding one little thing, such as a space before the " sign.
OK, I just went to the exact forum thread and copied the above code used here, and it now works, the same code that would not work before. Then I copied the code that I wanted to use that I save in a note file, and now it works.
Maybe Goodreads was doing maintenance on the site, and was causing that thread not to allow image code to work at that time.
Don't you just hate it when your doing it the right way, and the technology make you think your wrong!
Thank you, this is a very helpful thread.
Yes, sometimes when they are doing maintenance, it messes things up. And, yes, it is frustrating when I think it is me and not them!
Looking at your URL, it reads http://www.goodreads.com/imagehttp://...
and doesn't end in a .jpg or .gif.
Great, Arfa! Congrats. By the way, I discover if you only do one of the measurements (such as height), the other will default in with the right ratio with you trying to figure it out. The the pic isn't distorted. For instance, if I just put in height="200" for the following and got this:
