Ami E. Bowen (skayda) | 26 comments My current reading material is Dull Boy by Sarah Cross by Sarah Cross and it's so good! I am staying with my grandmother to help her out a bit and was reading at night in bed and had to shove a corner of my feather pillow into my mouth to keep from laughing too loudly for fear of waking her up since she has trouble sleeping and the walls are very thin in her double wide mobile home and since she lives in a very small town it gets very quiet at Knight. This book is very entertaining and highly reccommended for comic book/superhero fans. My last two reads before that were Sold by Patricia McCormick by Patricia McCormick and Fat Vampire A Never Coming of Age Story by Adam Rex by Adam Rex.

I loved 1Q84: Book 1 and Book 2 and have book 3 to start. While i cant wait to find out what happens to the main characters, i keep putting it off because i dont want it to end.

Its quite different from other Lansdale books ive read but im really liking it. Its a murder mystery story but gives an interesting portrayal of life during the depression, covering the attitudes of white people to blacks. Ive had it for a while and really glad i got round to it.

Gary R | 117 comments I just finished Secret of the White Rose by Stefanie Pintoff . It was an absolute page turner. Whenver I had to brak away from it I couldn't wait to fiand 5 minuties to get back to it. The story kept you guess right up til the end and it provided a very realistic picture of life in NYC in the early 1900's. Will definitely be going back to read book one and two in this series. I am now starting Law of Attraction A Novel by Allison Leotta

Just started reading an arc of Temporary Yes... it's a book of poetry that will be publishing under Artistically Declined Press.

I am also still reading our Author/Reader Discussion novel Taft 2012: A Novel. Did you guys know that Jason, the author, is hanging with us till the end of the month?

And believe it or not, I am STILL listening to Couch on Iambik Audio on my phone?

I almost never read two things at once... look at me go!!!

I'm absolutely with you, Michael! It what I was telling to my friends about this book - not very bad, but overrated. And who would need all this details about Swedish politic and government structure?

message 26445: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) Had difficulty sleeping last night, so was up until almost 6am reading A Tale of Two Cities, and nearly finished -- which I did after I got up around 11am. I was happy to find that 'book three' of the novel went much faster than the first two. A good book, but it has put me two behind my reading goal, so time for a couple of faster (and more fun!) reads.
