Susanna (jb_slasher) Right now I'm going for something a little lighter. I'm browsing through Essential Captain America, Vol. 1 and finally taking some time to read up on Scandinavian mythology so I've picked up a Finnish edition of Edda which attempts to explain the poems and the stories of Odin, Thor, Loki etc. (In part, I blame comics but mostly just my best friend.)

Ooooh!! You have to get through Outlander!! I know, the first 100 pages or so are tough-going, but after that, the whole series is just bliss. Persevere! Jamie and Clare are SO worth it!!! I've read the whole series like 4 times.

message 25866: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jhaltenburger) Just finished Lucia, Lucia Lucia, Lucia by Adriana Trigiani . I LOVED this book, even though I loved the main character so much that I wish her life had turned out better for her in the end. It really captured that glamourous, changing world of NYC in the fifties without any "cold war" apocalyptic pessimism. A bit like Breakfast at Tiffany's without the neurotic behavior.

message 25867: by Yuliya (new)

Yuliya (yuliyalovestoread) | 1685 comments Just finished Never Let Me Go. Very unpleasent feelings after this book. I don't tell I don't like it, but this are the feeling that you have after finishing this book. Now I'm starting The Deepest Water by Kate Wilhelm. Looks like I have to look for something more easy and optimistic for my next reading

Yuliya (yuliyalovestoread) | 1685 comments I'm reading last book from the trilogy The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxsetby Suzanne Collinsand i would recommend this book to teenager or young adults, but for me I feel I'm to much grown up for these books.
