What are you reading?
Still reading The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson, and of course i'm loving it, don't know why i held off for so long before starting it. It definitely stacks up to the first in the series (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) as i only have about 150 pages to go and i still haven't figured it out yet.
Can't wait for number 3!

Hayes, I really loved the book. My boyfriend's brother and girlfriend, sorry wife (since last sunday, have to get used to it) recommended it to me. He bought me now a camilleri book which he thinks I will like a lot.

I never understood what it was about the grapes of wrath but I really liked that book.

i read that a couple of years ago, absolutely loved it!"
Fiona, you will have to force me to read it ebcause I keep seeing it, want to buy it or read it everytime and still didn't...

Oh that is another one I keep seeing, never take with me and want to read...

petra, that does interesting. I am going to check the link but just realize it might make me go even more crazy with books and reading....

I feel like I am flogging this book (then again, it is probably because I..."
Oh The historian is not really about vampires. I think there was a very strong story about the search for dracula but also more. I liked a lot the story around it so the part that was a bit less focused on Dracula. Loved the book.

Susanna, I only read one saylor book but adored and was immediatley in love with it.Which did you read? ( am catching up now that I have again internet)

I didn't read the book but saw the movie and even though it was done very well and in some way also interesting I thought it was just way too heavy for me. I might have not een finished watching it....I think.

I liked a lot The secret life of bees and thought I wouldn't. I bought it ebcause of the cover and the title and because I had gotten too curious about it. Completely loved the colour in the story.

I am glad you started it and by now probbaly fnsihed it already. Hope you will like it as much as I did.

I want to see the movie too and read the book!!!Till two weeks ago I didn't like what I thought it was about but now i can't wait for it!

Did someone pay you to read moby dick? :-)kidding, it is jsut that it took me like five eyars and everytime I had to restart. Thanks to the season challenge on ehre I finally read it. I am glad I did but never again.

I keep trying to get this title at the library - always checked out...."
It is wonderful!!!!

I am glad you enjoyed it Hayes! How was The itlaian quarter? I am having a bad feleing about the life of pi which prevents me of reading it.

I loved jonathan starnge and mr norrel. I hope you are in the group of people that does too.

Mosca, how funny, I am reading Cloud Atlasnow. My team leader gave it to meand don't have a clue what it is about. He never finsihed it. It started extremely slow for me but now I am reading the letters from the english guy in Belgium and i like it already more.

I liked stardust a lot but mainly because I had seen the movie before so I didn't mind that the book was a bit calm. But lovely story.

Now, after much effort, I've returned to Kafka on the Shore by [author:Haruki Murakam..."

Welcome back Jeane!!
Haven't started Earth Hums yet!!
Italian quarter was so-so... well writtne and entertaining, but the message really p***ed me off in the end.
Life of Pi was okay. Parts of it really beautiful and moving, but it just didn't come together for me.
I've had a bunch duds recently... oh well!

I know, it is since I went to italy more than five years ago that i want to and i jsut neve do....I often almsot buy norwegian wood and then see other books which I don't have to think about and jsut go and pay for them....

what tweety???? yours is watching me from the right and I think it is trying to be read before the one I promised you I would read...

That makes it even better. Wherever i move to I am always trying to find out how the palce used to be in the past and then when I walk through the city I have to think about what I am seeing and how it used to be. it is so interesting to do that.

I am reading Cloud Atlas and finally one of my lists The House of the Spirits. I was going to read only books from my lists I said some months ago, this one is the first.

I've started Chris Adrian's The Children's Hospital which I'm really enjoying, even though it is another big read.

Thanks for letting me know JG. I thought the Dress Lodger was a very unique although brutal story of the 1800's. I'm glad you did like it.

I did read a Saylor right after Victory of Eagles - believe it was The Triumph of Caesar A Novel of Ancient Rome. I like Saylor, particularly at the short-story length.

I do find humor in the book. I challenge myself every summer to read at least one classic. This year I chose House of the Seven Gables, Dorien Grey and Moby Dick. I finished the first two. Last year I chose Les Miserable. Great book but I finished it in about 8 months. So if it takes 8 months for Moby I will try to perserver. Right now I am going to read Little Women and I did start the 19th wife, which is good so far.

I just found The Shadow of the Wind at the used bookstore a few days ago for $4. I bought it. I read the book earlier, but I'm sure I will want to read it again a some point...along with Angel's Game.
