Still reading The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson, and of course i'm loving it, don't know why i held off for so long before starting it. It definitely stacks up to the first in the series (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) as i only have about 150 pages to go and i still haven't figured it out yet.

Can't wait for number 3!

JG (Introverted Reader) You would probably enjoy Princes of Ireland. It's always cool to read books set in places that you know. What makes this one a little different is that it starts when Dublin was really just one chieftain's farm.

message 13894: by Mir (new)

Mir I am slowly getting through Night Road. It is not difficult reading but it is oddly dull. In kind of a realistic way, though: it is about vampires but instead of goth glamor and blood-sucking it is all how to file business papers when you can't go out in the light, and difficulties with laundry. And yeah, if there were vampires they probably would spend a lot of time thinking about those things.

I do find humor in the book. I challenge myself every summer to read at least one classic. This year I chose House of the Seven Gables, Dorien Grey and Moby Dick. I finished the first two. Last year I chose Les Miserable. Great book but I finished it in about 8 months. So if it takes 8 months for Moby I will try to perserver. Right now I am going to read Little Women and I did start the 19th wife, which is good so far.
