I know there is a lot of interest in John Clinch's novel,Pap, so I have written about it in the Fiction Redux Group. I think my commentary there makes an extremely important point, but since I am a two finger typist(and a bad one at that), I can't take the time to re-write it here.
Would it be heresy to suggest that if you are interested, you take a short trip to the other site? Then you can come home to TNBBC, and we can discuss Finn here if you wish.
P.S. Don't yell at me, Lori. You realize I am very much afraid of you as it is. Best.

The Swallow and the Dark - Andrew Matthews
Puberty Blues - Kathy Lette & Gabrielle Carey
The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips - Michael Morpurgo

How are you liking it so far? I've been wanting to read it.
I've started Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and should be finishing up Pride and Prejudice today as well.
I'm listening to Lolita and am loving Jeremy Irons' voice (although the subject is tough going at times).
What did you think of TTTW? I liked it a lot.

I really enjoyed it! It was alot different than I had expected it to be! It had me hooked for sure.

Yay, thanks for the update!

Currently I'm on Anne Perry's Dark Assassin, its my first read by this author, i'm about 1/2 way into it, and i must say its quite enjoyable.

I´m really afraid of Lolita... But I think I could stand it with Jeremy Iron´s voice hehe
I still have 40 pages of To Kill a Mocking Bird to read >.<

It's just too sexy for words, but the book is soooo sad, in a weird way. What happens isn't sad (I mean, apart from the obvious...) but Humbert is such a sad character... hard to explain.

I am reading The Shadow Of The Wind. So far so good.
I also really want to read The Book Thief.

Iron Kissed
The Curse of Addy McMahon
Paper Towns
Daughter of the Flames
The Naming The First Book of Pellinor
Cry Wolf
Adverbs A Novel
Not sure what I'll get through!

I know what you mean, that´s why I don´t really stand reading it. It´s sad but, c´mon, she is a little girl! lol

Elizabeth, so Olive Kitteridge is deserving of the Pulitzer it won? I'm trying not to hear too much about the book as I want to go in with as few expectations as possible, but you say you give it 5 stars, so I'm curious to know if you consider it a Pulitzer winner or just a really good book.

Read a few pages of The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox, which sounds interesting so far.

Esme was a really hard book for me to get into the first time I picked it up. When I went back to it a second time, I could not put it down. It turned out to be darker than I had imagined, but still good.

Now, I'll probably pick up Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult (it's a library read and I have to read it soon since the waiting list for this book is astronomical) or probably some other YA book that I just took out from the library. (I only own about about six or seven YA books and am saving those for a rainy day. So, I'm taking any YA books that seem even remotely interesting from the library.)

Also going to start Watermelon
Hi Jeane!! I started Woman of Rome A Life of Elsa Morante. The writing is a bit lame (I'm reading an "uncorrected proof" which a bookseller friend sent me; I can only hope the corrected proof tightens things up a bit) but the subject is interesting - Elsa Morante was a strange woman, from a strange family, and had an even stranger husband - Alberto Moravia.

I saw it sounds really interesting.

next ill have pride and prejudice by jane austen. ive been wanting to read that.
it's only during summer (or whenever i dont have classes) that i can read novels. quite unfortunate, but at least the excitement just keep welling up after ages of suppression!

It's a terrific eries, with only the 4th being a bit disapointing. You can read When the Wind Blows and The Lake House by him. Those were before the Maximum Ride books, but about the same experiments. (kind of. he elaborates on the idea)

And now I'm starting I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith... looking forward to talking to everyone about it in May! :)

Will carry on readin some library books.
