"I picked up My Sister's Keeper and would not read another book by her for a long time."
I'm definitely going to have to learn more...
Wife of GR author: Michael J. Sullivan | The Crown Conspiracy (10/08) | Avempartha (04/09)

Betsy: I LOVED count of Monte Cristo
Darla: Why are you pissed after reading Half-Blood Prince - It's been awhile since I read it.
Robin.

Robin, Jodi Picoult is great if you like books that deal with controversial subjects.

I will recommend the fallowing books:"The Year Of The Flood"by Eduardo Mendoza an author from Barcelona Spain."Nazism" a book about the rise of the Nazi Party. If, you do not feel that reading the Nazis is your cup of tea, then, i Will suggest:Love In The Time Of Cholera,A Map Of The World,The Beauty Myth,Raising Fences,Backlash by Morris L .West.

Please tell me which other books have you read by Mendoza!.

El Laberinto De Las Aceitunas
La ciudad de los prodigios
El Misterio de La Cripta Embrujada

The authors are J.Noakes and G.pridham.

If there is possibly anyone left who has not read the HP series or has not read "The Half-Blood Prince" -- Do not read below:

***********SPOILER ALERT*************
Quite simply, I was alright with it until Dumbledore dies. And I might have been okay with that even, had it not been that Snape was the one to do it. I still am hopeful that there is more to it than what meets the eye, however, I was not pleased. :(

Yes, Fiona (6349) you must read!!

I am currently reading,"A Map Of The World",two weeks a go i read "love In Time Of Cholera".I do not have any Christmas book to read, but, that is OK.

Susanna, thanks for the positive words about Company of Liars. I've only read about 15 pages so far, but I'm liking what I've read.

I read The Devil's Arithmetic some years ago and thought it was one of the best YA fiction books about the Holocaust. The movie with Kirsten Dunst was an excellent adaptation. I highly recommend you watch it after reading the book.

Started sepulchre by Kate Mosse today. Really liked her previous book The labyrinth and for now this one looks to be the same good style.

*sigh*
Must.read.again!

I picked up Hamilton's Blood Noir today. I have been meaning to read it since it came out a couple months ago, but read some other books instead. I originally really liked the series but recently I haven't been as enthused (spelling) as I once was with the series. But I am invested in characters and have to continue to read the series until it ends.

cool series alhthough a little unrealistic
where do you guys get all these different series
anywy i am also on the 10th book of the Wheel of time by Robert Jordan
cool series

I read Devil's Arithmetic during the Fall Challenge. I enjoyed it very much. I also read many books about the Nazis and the Holocaust while in high school. I haven't watched any movies about it though. I'm sure that would be extremely disturbing. It's bad enough just reading about it.

I have Dexter in the..."
Dexter is probably the best television series to ever hit primetime. I'm glad I read the books first. I think they are better but the series sure does have great appeal!

Hi Offmat, Timothy, what did you think about the movie The ight club? I heard it was a classic too and someone said it was great just like the book but when I saw it I decided not to watch it again....not that it was bad, not at all but......hard, raw...don't know how to explain.

Kristina, how is The christmas mystery? Read many of his other books and adore them, but not that one. I did have a look at it at the library yesterday.

Fiona - fantastic fiction is a great site -- thanks for pointing it out for me - they have both of my hubby's books as well - Very comprehensive site for US authors considering it is across the pond as it were.
Darla - I thought that might be what you were referring to -- I kind of expected it. It was sad to see him go but I thought it was "true" to where the store had to go so I'm okay with it. My husband had to kill off a character I loved in his fifth book. But again "it made sense" so I made my peace with it. -- Oh and I agree Darla - don't let that stop you from reading book 7!!
