Ive never been a real online entity to speak of Kernos. To be honest, Goodreads is my first real foray into online relationships. I don't do Facebook or Myspace and have never had friendships outside of real life. I had a good friend pass away the other day and it made me think of all my friends and many of those on here came to mind. I suppose I'm just able to be alot more Me here than I am in the real world. I have to compartmentalize my friends. Work, college, high school, Army, church. I've never been the same person to each group of friends so it's been novel to just be me on here and so I've come to really love (a word I don't use flippantly) some of the folks here. I'll definitely be looking into planning for my "online presence" in my will as well. Thanks for the suggestion

I ended up leaving after getting married because the drama got to be too much.

*twitch*
See?
Back in November of 2000, the SWG forums opened up and I joined them. Made some friends and still post on private forums with two different groups that formed back then even to this day, even though none of us have played in years.
I've seen deaths, rage-quits, disappearances and even one arrest.
And yet I couldn't spot any of these people out of a lineup either.
It's just so weird being part of an online community sometimes...

Well we'll have none of that drama here :) We need some FA bouncers. Danielle is entirely too sweet and Jason is Canadian ;)

Weird, small green man with slingshot? I have no idea what you mean. :D
I mean ^**^ (it's a bat!)
I'm going to find your house, Tracey.
Then I'm going to go there.
And I will destroy all "6" keys on every keyboard in the entire place.

Oooh scary wheelchairs there Ala ;)

:D

:D
don't make me roll over your toes, self.

It varies depending on time of day, season, weather and the last alcoholic beverage drank.

I also enjoy returning to favourite books because its like visiting an old friend.
It also depends on who has dibs on various topics. For example, Ala was kind enough to wait and allow me to make fun of MrsJ for her affinity for ninja cars :)
Oh no. That's a universal taboo for us both.
I have, luckily, never run afoul of the law or gnomes. But there are far too many blacked out nights, where I apparently continued partying with no memory, for me to even want to broach the subject.

*beady eyes*
It's any car that's just really, really sneaky and enjoys suddenly appearing out of nowhere* in front of MrsJ and causing her injury.
*it may have been parked at the time. (so tricksy, those ninja cars.)

OMG there's a conspiracy.

*sigh* I miss my 72 GTO Judge

...Um yes I'm still totally a respectable, intelligent woman...With a really big fondness for driving in great cars with the windows down and rock roaring out! Mwhahahaha!
I mean that would be a delightful distraction...*vroom vroom*

In other news, I have opted to be social instead of re-reading my usual fare, either fantasy YA, like Tamora Peirce, or totally fluffy romance novels, don't judge me. I tend to digest books well on the first read-through so it's rare that I go back and re-read unless I'm looking to waste some time...

I agree. I soooooo agree.

In..."
lol that's why I live in the boonies of Ohio where you gotta be an ass to get arrested for that. ^-^
Hey read what you like Sonja! While the fancy chocolate(lovely high or world building fantasy)tastes nice sometimes you just want the simplicity of a hershey bar (romance and other fluffy fun stuff).

I vote we make like Lucy and Ethel and find a way to keep that baby *deviously rubs hands together making sinister face*
While I can understand storage could be iffy not all classic cars are hard to maintain. Actually the prevalence of rebuilding has made the parts a bit more available. Maybe if you can prove its doable he might be less hesitant.

I would hope so.
It's already been restored once but the person who did it scammed my grandparents out of some money. They used inferior materials/fabrics so all of the seating has to be re-done. They also didn't use the proper paint so that needs to be re-done, too.
My husband feels that we would be stuck paying a lot of money to re-restore it and that storage up here would be required. If we get a house with a two car garage I think he STILL wouldn't be ok with me keeping it...but I want to work on him. *wonders how much it would cost to get an estimate on restoration*

Don't worry, Tracey, I'll defend you.
As far as the internet crossing with real life goes, I just moved in with a boyfriend I met alone. xD

Great car...and much coveted.

I think I will!

If I'm not mistaken it's a Belair. It's in the garage and has been there for a while. No one drives it anymore.
And to think, when I was a kid I had a major issue with having to ride around in such an "old car." You live and you learn.
