Hi Kimberly,
Just had a book released called "Together Again" the fourth in my Vicarage Bench Series and thought you might be interested in reviewing it - it's not quite an historical but does fall in the Vintage era. (60's) and is a humorous spirit/time travel love story. I've put my website here so you can see the book and the excerpt to see if it interests you.

message 180: by Jeffrey (new)

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) Hello!

My name is Jeff, but I also go by "Jaymikal" (Internet alias). I've written a young adult fantasy adventure story by the name of Bakkian Chronicles, Book I - The Prophecy.

It's a light-hearted story about a husband and wife who have accidentally activated a portal in their newly inherited house. Without realizing what they're doing, they step through and realize that perhaps that wasn't the wisest choice. Stuck on a foreign world where mythical creatures thrive, they enlist the aid of the local king and queen, but are startled to learn they are the prophesized protectors of the young crown prince.

I'm hoping to release the second in the series this month.

Several months ago when I released my first book, I had no reviews and just wanted an unbiased opinion on how I did. I've received some very helpful advice and made several new friends, so I thought I'd pay the favor forward. So I follow several threads on Amazon's Meet the Authors forum and have been reviewing new fantasy stories from indie authors.

I'm also a Microsoft Certified computer tech. As such, I know full well what a pain it can be to get your book formatted for the Kindle, or else try to work around a stubborn computer. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a question on my blog under the Tech Help thread.

J.

message 196: by Iain (new)

Iain Rowan (iainrowan) Hi. Thought people might be interested in a series of interviews I'm running on my blog with a wide range of writers. Some are well established writers, but others are just starting to develop their reputations. All though, have something interesting to say.

The series started off with crime novelist Dave Zeltserman (whose novels have twice been Washington Post Books of the Year), and has also featured horror writer Gary McMahon (nominated for the British Fantasy Awards seven times) and noir specialist Paul D Brazill (who has a collection coming out soon from Untreed Reads).

More interviews are scheduled to appear in the next few weeks, ranging across genres, and from new authors to established writers whose work has won awards like the Hugo or the World Fantasy Award.

Hope you find them interesting.

I do have a blog, located www.Lentari.com. I use WordPress on my own site, but thanks to a few Trolls, I have the commenting ability severly restricted. I'll try lifting the restrictions here in a little while, as I get closer to releasing my 2nd book.

And, FYI, I am curious about the term "steam punk", too. Not sure what it is, but curious as hell! :)
