message 832: by Jayne (new)

Jayne (ladyjaguar) | 53 comments Hi everyone. the link to my website is coming up, but before I give it, I just want to say that I support other indie authors as well. With some experience of big publishers, and some handy information to pass on about how to write successfully, it's something I want to pass on because it's important to stick together against the big guys. There's a wealth of talent that readers don't really know about, and they are missing out. Whether you want something quick and satisfying to read on a train journey (Diane L. Strong) or something meatier (Mike Wells) there really is something for everyone. I have a blog, because I've just moved house and have no internet connection at the moment, I have to snatch five minutes here and there on other peoples' computers! If you're interested in what I have to say, my blog is linked to Goodreads, as well as on my website

http://www.jaynelockwood.com/diary/

I also have my first novel listed on Goodreads and available on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Cloud-See...

Good luck everyone, and happy writing!

Chloe Zola | 11 comments Short illustrated story for the wandering heart, FREE today:

http://www.chloezola.com/book

Some children grow up with a subconscious understanding of what "familiar" means- one house, one town, two parents. Lennie and Bea, brother and sister, have known since before they could walk that familiarity was not in the cards for them. Snakes in the Sky follows the two young children as they wander through the high desert of Mexico looking for their mother. Over six days we peak into their colorful trail of breadcrumbs and see two children under ten learn the word "acceptance", realizing that "home" is more of a feeling than a place.

Thank you, Karen. I review on my blog only if something particularly moves or annoys me about the book, the subject matter or the genre. Otherwise, I do reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, wherever.

If you want me to consider reviewing something, please send me a message.

Don't be nervous, enjoy it! I felt the same way but once you've taken the plunge, you'll be fine. Just remember that if you find any glaring errors, even after constanting re-editing and checking, they can be corrected. Good luck!
