Why must the directors change a movie from the book, to make the movie just seem dumb?
YES! That does seem weird!Who doesn't love Harry Potter? Why not? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? What is wrong with Harry Potter where you only like it? 'Cus nobody HATES Harry Potter, right?

Well, why can't we tell you to read Harry Potter and tell you it is really good TikiPaws12?

I haven't seen it, but I'm thoroughly disappointed with clips I've seen. Since it's been changed so much, I don't want to see it. I don't want what horrors are unleashed on screen-utter blasphemy against the books-to mar my imagination of the characters. Not all changes from print to screen are terrible, though, but I admit, most teen/children's books are, for some reason. But some great ones are Lord of the Rings (I'm very much looking forward to the Hobbit), Harry Potter, Coraline did well all though the plot was changed, very enjoyable, Pride and Prejudice, and The Thief Lord, which was probably the best adaptation in terms of following the whole plot that I've ever seen.

Some people aren't, their religions fear it. For instance, dark magic is scary for some people. I wasn't allowed to read it but I read it anyways and it's nothing that people's religion's should fear. I understand why they do it, but they just need to be educated. No shame in that. :)
Galatians 5 is what my mom is really worried about. We arent scared but we are instructed to stay away from it.

I liked it as a movie but they left out too much to make a whole series of the book. My brother was sad when he found out that there was not going to be a Sea of MOnsters and he hadn't even read the books when he said that.

I don't like NIV so much but it still works.

I was very disappointed with the movie,.... after all percy jackson is my fave series and they totally stuffed it up. though i have to say i am glad they left the medusa part in.

He should be ashamed by the fact that he hurt so many people's interest in PJ but just make it a whole different story for those who haven't read PJ. Does anybody agree with me or is it just me???
Oh btw i think they should have named the movie something else as they changed the lighting thief himself.

Well the movie made me want to read the books so I'm glad it was made. Otherwise I would have never read the books. The books were better but by itself the movie was really good. Like without comparing it to the books.

I really liked HP1 and 2 they're way better than the other movies
but PJ was pretty bad
