William Vitka (vitka) | 1 comments Howdy all;

I'm a journalist and pulp writer. I write primarily in the vein of the Twilight Zone. I love good twists. And I love monsters. There are never enough monsters for me.

I'm not talking about vampires or werewolves or zombies. They're well and good. But I like new monsters. Stuff we've never seen before. As such, that's usually what I aim to introduce people to.

I have four self-published stories on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/William-Vitka/e...

Indie horror publisher Graveside Tales is going to release my first book next year.

I'm on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/william.vitka

Twitter: https://twitter.com/vitka

And Tumblr: http://vitka.tumblr.com/

And, of course, I'm glad to be here :)

Aimee Laine (aimee_laine) Hi! My name is Aimee Laine and I am the author of Little White Lies (Mimics of Rune, #1) by Aimee Laine which just released July 1, 2011 in Kindle, EPUB, paperback, etc. :)

I write (almost exclusively) paranormal romance. 'tis my FAVorite genre because I LOVE playing with character's relationships. The more evil I can be to them the better because then their reconciliation is that much sweeter. :)

Outside of writing, I'm a Christian, mom, wife, workerbee of full-time job to feed the teenager and entrepreneur (have owned my own photography studio for 6 years). Phew! Most people suggest I slow down, but that wouldn't be any fun! So, now I write, too!

Hope to see you all around! :)
Aimee

Katie Stewart (katiewstewart) Hi Everyone, I'm Katie. I've been around Goodreads for a couple of months but only just discovered this group. I'm Australian, a mother of 3 (aged 8-18) and when I'm not writing, I work as a Library Office and in IT support. I'm also a farmer's wife and occasional book illustrator. And in my spare time, I play the Celtic harp.

My debut novel, Treespeaker came out in April and I'm hoping to get the sequel out by the end of the year.

I suspect I already know a few of you from elsewhere, but I look forward to getting to know everyone.:)

Joey Manley (joeymanley) | 1 comments My name is Joey Manley. In 1991, when I was 26, my first novel was published by St. Martin's Press. It wasn't very good.

I did not believe this at the time. I assumed that it would make me rich and famous.

When the world paid no attention (even my publisher paid no attention), I gave up on writing for many years. I just didn't see the point of pushing another fireball of hot love and labor through that system and having it come out on the other end all mushy and wet. You know?

The rise of indie publishing via Kindle and its sister platforms has inspired me, and I am working on a new novel, "Snake-Boy Loves Sky Prince, a Gay Superhero Teen Romance." I hope to have it finished approximately this time next year, and then self-publish to all the eBook and POD vendors. That's me!

Edwin Downward (edwindownward) | 3 comments Hi, I'm Edwin, and I'm presently exploring the publishing options for my Science Fiction Adventure: Bound and working on its sequel: Wedge.

With all that I've heard over the last year, I've all but ruled out looking to any of the big publishers, which leaves me with the question: Small Press or Self Publish?

Joe Crubaugh | 4 comments Joe Crubaugh here. A couple of years ago I serialized a novel for an audience of a dozen or so friends and workmates. It was a sci-fi paranormal spy thriller with a lot of humor and satire and alternative historical trivia mixed in--a hard sell to lit agents, by the way! Recently, some friends were reminiscing about how much fun it was to get the next chapter in their email each Friday, and so--I finally caught the self-publish-ebook bug, cleaned it up, and put it out there for Kindle and Nook. Enjoying reading all the discussions in this group. I'm an introvert lurker by nature :-)

Hi James,

Welcome. Is it written or a work in progress? Is the disappearance solved or not? Watch that lurking. That's what my bad characters do when they are up to something. You should use a good-character euphemism rather than lurking. Let us know if we can help along the way.

Don't think I've formally introduced myself. I'm Malla Duncan and I currently have six books up on Smashwords - psychological (chick chillers) thrillers for women, children's fantasy and fun books for African kids (at least I hope they like them!). I have an author page on Goodreads and have started a blog as well (new adventure). And hoping to connect with many wonderful authors and readers over the coming weeks.

message 287: by Richard (new)

Richard Bunning (richardbunning) | 1 comments My name is Richard Bunning. I am an author that has so far dabbled in two very different genres. I have English rewrites of classical and neoclassical foreign plays, which is real minority stuff. They are mainly for me, it seems. I also write speculative fiction, with my second book at the editing stage. These books are designed to have general appeal, but only me seems to be aware of that. I like reviewing other Indie SF, but only if it's brilliant like my stuff. I was not invited, I just found the door open. GR is too complicated for me so if you are lucky, I may not find my way back here.

Reynaldo (haparker321) | 1 comments Hi Everyone,
Sorry that I did not respond in such a while. I have been currently serving at a local camp on a voluntary basis and I made an early return back from the Camp. For those who have not already noticed, I have joined here back in May 2011, when my first book 'The Resurrection' has been recently published. You can check out more information on my blog http://theresurrectionseries.wordpress.c...

I hope you all can enjoy it!

Parker

P.S.
I am also interested in taking up reviews from other Indie Authors. In order to do so, please send it in PDF file to writeparkministries@gmail.com.

Thanks.
