My name is Jack Rylance and I'm a grizzled novelist, world traveller, and restless soul (also a lover of far-flung locales, dubious characters, and rugged stationery). My latest tropical crime thriller, Copacabana, is available in Kindle format from Amazon now.
I also have a website where, amongst other things, I blog about the future of publishing:

I am in love with that title!
I want to wrap it up in a little box and put it on the mantle.
Very yummy!

Looking forward to sharing with you.

Thank you for the welcome Miles!! Nice to meet you (virtually)!

I'm glad to be a part of this group. I've just completed my 2nd novel, The Eyes of the Heart The Eyes of the Heart, a suspense thriller (inspirational) set in modern day. I loved writing it and have had some wonderful early reviews on Amazon. My prior novel is The Black Dragons The Black Dragons a historical fiction action and adventure novel based on the American Revolutionary War time period.
I consider Oregon home, though I've spent many years outside of the state and have traveled the world. I've found I'm a better story teller, than a writer, which is why I'm so grateful for my editors (Thanks Kris and John).
My family and I, wonderful wife and two children, live near Eugene and spend a great deal of time in the Bend area as well. When I'm not working, or writing, I'm fly fishing or serving in our church.
I'm so grateful for all that God has allowed me to see and experience in life.
Best wishes to everyone!
Richard Hackett Jr.

Hello Jessica! I'll have to check out your books. I am starting to figure out which paranormal romance suits my fancy. - Rachel Fisher

My name is Rachel Fisher and I write young adult science-fiction. I completed my first novel, an apocalpytic titled Eden's Root, in December of last year and released the second book, Seeds of War, just a week ago. I'm new to the group and saying hello from the UK. I'm a novice short story writer self publishing ebooks with a focus on contemporary drama. I'm really looking forward to learning and developing as a writer amongst you all and trying to make each new story better. I'll do my best to get through as many postings here as I can and if anyone wants to connect my website:

Kind regards,
Robert Rankine.

Welcome to the group David, Karl-Friedrich, Sherrie, C, Richard, Jessica, Rachel, Subhajit, Carole, Michael, Kate, Brian, Ella, and R.G.
It's great to have you all here! :-)

Although I initially signed up on Goodreads a couple of years ago, I am just now really getting started. I have been known to call myself: "Slow but Deep".
I am an indie author and self published my Memoir: "EVERYTHING HAPPENED IN VIETNAM: THE YEAR OF THE RAT", with my own Blue Moon Publishing. It is a true story and in my mind, relates to any and all war experience. Nothing really changes but the names.
I discovered the Author Profile pages just this morning and have been attempting to create something there and hope I haven't yet made a mess of it. I ran into a little snafu there where it said enter any of 'your' "quotes". So I did. My own that is. Ones I have written over the years that I call my "MAXIMS". Kind of a guide for myself. Then I saw where it said "Notable". Well, I am published right? ;) Anyway, I tried to make some changes and maybe delete the whole thing and it says only a Librarian can do that. Yipes! I sometimes feel like a bull in the china shop.
The author/publisher thing has been quite the experience. I have been blessed really. Although available on a number of venues, I have been having the most success since I started on Kindle about the first of this year. That has also driven print edition sales. I hope to learn my way around here on Goodreads and am especially interested in discussing and sharing the writing experience. Oh yeah, the 'reading' experience too! :) I have recently been on a James Lee Burke read-a-thon. I think I have read just about all his works. Very enjoyable. I have done much more serious reading throughout my life though. I love to read and I love to write. I plan on continuing to do both for the rest of my life.
I hope it is ok to link because I do see others here that have so here is a couple of links:
http://www.amazon.com/Everything-Happ... - Kindle ebook
http://www.amazon.com/Everything-Happ... - Print edition
All the best!
Bob T. (aka Robert Peter Thompson)

I'm Jack Thompson. I enjoy reading and writing in a variety of genres. I'm fairly new to publishing. So far, I've published a science fiction novel, a political thriller and, most recently, a mystery/thriller entitled The Color of Greed.
I'm looking for reviewers for my latest release.

Please email me if you're interested.
Look forward to the group.
Best,
Jack
