Cynthia Joyce | 24 comments Hello one and all, what a fantastic resource this tread and this group is. Reading people's intro's I've found books I want to read and places to help promote my books. I'm Cynthia Joyce Clay, by the way. I enjoy most writing sf and fantasy, Zollocco: A Novel of Another Universe, The Romance of the Unicorn, New Myths of the Feminine Divine (a collection of sf, fantasy, and myth). I've also written a book on drama and literary theory--Vector Theory and the Plot Structures of Literature and Drama (don't worry, all words, no formulas). I'm also a contributing co-editer of an award winning book, The Oestara Anthology of Pagan Poetry.
Currently I've been writing plays and a fantasy saga. Ilovewriting my fantasy saga.

Richard Hackett Jr (rhack) | 14 comments Hello everyone!
I'm glad to be a part of this group. I've just completed my 2nd novel, The Eyes of the Heart The Eyes of the Heart, a suspense thriller (inspirational) set in modern day. I loved writing it and have had some wonderful early reviews on Amazon. My prior novel is The Black Dragons The Black Dragons a historical fiction action and adventure novel based on the American Revolutionary War time period.

I consider Oregon home, though I've spent many years outside of the state and have traveled the world. I've found I'm a better story teller, than a writer, which is why I'm so grateful for my editors (Thanks Kris and John).

My family and I, wonderful wife and two children, live near Eugene and spend a great deal of time in the Bend area as well. When I'm not working, or writing, I'm fly fishing or serving in our church.

I'm so grateful for all that God has allowed me to see and experience in life.

Best wishes to everyone!

Richard Hackett Jr.

My name is Rachel Fisher and I write young adult science-fiction. I completed my first novel, an apocalpytic titled Eden's Root, in December of last year and released the second book, Seeds of War, just a week ago. Anyone who likes books with a bit of a darkness/survival theme and a kick-butt heroine may really enjoy my story.

Nice to meet you all! I am checking for peeps who write dark stories, science-fiction, dystopians, apocalpytics, or adventure/survival to add to my reading list. LOVE ya, but open to adult fiction as well...

Robert Thompson (goodreadscomBob_Thompson) | 6 comments Happy Goodreads!

Although I initially signed up on Goodreads a couple of years ago, I am just now really getting started. I have been known to call myself: "Slow but Deep".

I am an indie author and self published my Memoir: "EVERYTHING HAPPENED IN VIETNAM: THE YEAR OF THE RAT", with my own Blue Moon Publishing. It is a true story and in my mind, relates to any and all war experience. Nothing really changes but the names.

I discovered the Author Profile pages just this morning and have been attempting to create something there and hope I haven't yet made a mess of it. I ran into a little snafu there where it said enter any of 'your' "quotes". So I did. My own that is. Ones I have written over the years that I call my "MAXIMS". Kind of a guide for myself. Then I saw where it said "Notable". Well, I am published right? ;) Anyway, I tried to make some changes and maybe delete the whole thing and it says only a Librarian can do that. Yipes! I sometimes feel like a bull in the china shop.

The author/publisher thing has been quite the experience. I have been blessed really. Although available on a number of venues, I have been having the most success since I started on Kindle about the first of this year. That has also driven print edition sales. I hope to learn my way around here on Goodreads and am especially interested in discussing and sharing the writing experience. Oh yeah, the 'reading' experience too! :) I have recently been on a James Lee Burke read-a-thon. I think I have read just about all his works. Very enjoyable. I have done much more serious reading throughout my life though. I love to read and I love to write. I plan on continuing to do both for the rest of my life.

I hope it is ok to link because I do see others here that have so here is a couple of links:

http://www.amazon.com/Everything-Happ... - Kindle ebook
http://www.amazon.com/Everything-Happ... - Print edition

All the best!
