      Thanks, Callie -- looks great!!
Also, Boston-area BOTNS'ers, put March 28th on your calendar to see Cheryl Strayed at Brookline Booksmith. Cheryl's memoir, WILD, is amazing, and I'll be talking about it on this week's podcast. Also, Cheryl recently unveiled herself to be "Sugar" from The Rumpus' very popular advice column (it's more than an advice column, really). Should be a great event, and I'd love to meet up with some of you before the event itself. http://www.brooklinebooksmith.com/eve...

I still recall my excitement the first time I visited the house. It was me and all these tween girls, and we all oooheed and aaaheed together. I'll be attending for sure.

OoooOoo Sounds Great! I'd love to join!
I will be attending the Chelmsford One Book event, and wanted to know if any other BOTNSers plan on going. We could meet up for lunch at my fave Pho joint afterwards. The Chelmsford Public Library will host Pulitzer Prize-winning authors Geraldine Brooks and Tony Horwitz at the Chelmsford High School Performing Arts Center on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. for a talk and book signing. This program is free and open to the public.

Sadly, I'm completely booked that weekend, but I have been hankering for another Boston-area BOTNS event...
Hey Boston BOTNS friends - - Dawn (my Booktopia VT roommate) and I are going to meet up in Harvard Square for some book browsing and dinner on Tuesday May 29th. Anyone interested in joining us? Please respond here by May 24th so we can make a dinner reservation. We'd love to get a group together for some good book talk!

Please put me on the list. I may not be able to come, but I'd like to. I should know, certainly, by the week before. Thanks for the invite.

Oooo I love this! Same as Trish, I'll know by the week before if I can make it. Hope I can! Would love to see you all again!

I'm so glad that people want to meet up! I'll post the list of RSVPs next week before I make a reservation for dinner to make sure I've got everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all. And sad you can't join us Ann - next time!!

I'll have to see how my work schedule is shaping up closer to that date, but I'll let you know in a few days if I can make it.

Hi Everyone, So it looks like there will be a good group for the Harvard Square meet up! I'm embarrassed to say that after starting this plan with Dawn I won't be able to join you. I'm going on a last minute trip to England next week - an offer I couldn't refuse - but I will definitely raise a pint on Tuesday night to all of you and I hope you have a great time. I'm going to turn the planning over to Dawn. It looks like Marly, Tracey, Callie and Elizabeth are on board with Trish, Vanessa and Loretta as maybes? If there are any changes please post here so Dawn can get a headcount for dinner. Have a great night - I'm sorry to miss it!

Hmm, England versus Harvard Sq. That is a tough choice indeed :-). Have a great trip. Look forward to meeting the others on Tue.
Okay! I'm coming for sure!! Whoo Hoo! Excited to see you guys! Just tell me when and where! I'm usually available after 6pm. So many great places to meetup in Cambridge. Depending on whether we want to do coffee or dinner I would suggest (Border Cafe, Wagamamma, Tealuxe, Crema Cafe). All within walking distance of The Coop and the Harvard Bookstore! :)
Yes, right above the Harvard T station in the little rounded pit area where all the rebel teenagers hang out by the Starbucks - perfect! :) What time?

I don't think I'll be making it. I'm flying out to D.C. tonight, back on Tuesday. Pretty sure I'll want/need just to head home for a bit that night (and who knows what will be going on with work!). Have fun!

We will miss you Loretta and Jennifer! Happy travels to you both!I think the Harvard T stop is a good place. I can be there any time after 4, although I think I'm going to make a dent in my "+12 in '12" bookshop list by hitting up the Porter Square bookstore beforehand. I'd also like to stop in at the Grolier Poetry Book Shop (which is next to the Harvard Book Store), but that closes at 7. So, depending on when we meet up and have dinner, I may do that beforehand as well.
Fingers crossed for good weather!!
Vanessa wrote: "I would suggest Border Cafe, Wagamamma..."Wow! You have Wagamama in Boston? How cool! It was the restaurant of choice for our family on our last trip to London. One daughter loves good, cheap, plentiful food and the other loves Japanese, so it was very popular.
It ends up I can't make it. Two kids "graduating" from fifth grade means lots of afterschool activities. I'm bummed I can't make it this time but hopefully we can plan another meet up.

I got that we are meeting outside the Harvard Sq T stop. What time? And how will we know each other? Looking forward to it.

Does 7pm work for everyone? The Coop is open until 10pm. The Harvard Bookstore is open until 11pm. Plenty of places to eat as well, which can be decided upon when we are all gathered, unless people feel we should decide beforehand.I will be the blonde reading, holding, carrying or frantically waving the book I am currently reading at random strangers near the Harvard T Stop. :)
So, how many are we expecting? All who are coming say "I"
Ok, so now I need to hit the Curious George store too! I will be in Harvard Square around 5 if all goes as planned, if anyone wants to meet up early let me know.
I will see everyone there! I have a black purse with a rope handle over the shoulder, and I'll likely have a Porter Square Bookstore shopping bag as well!

Forgive me, but I will not be able to make it. I recently had surgery on my foot and was too opimistic about how I could get around. Somehow the thought of cement is making my stomach churn. I can't think of anything I'd rather do than an early summer evening in Cambridge talking about books, but it will have to wait. Enjoy yourselves!

Aw, Trish I'm sorry! Feel better vibes! Can't wait to see you all tonight! I will be wearing black pants and spotted ruffly top. I will also be holding Ursula Le Guin's The Dispossessed. :)
See you all in a few hours!
Callie - SO weird. That's one of the ones I am going to read next! AND I need to buy a copy... probably tonight!

I'm in a dark blue and white shirt and black jeans. My nook will be in my bag, so that will not be a help :-)

I had such a wonderful evening. Thanks for the great conversation and laughs. Let's do it again soon!

One of the other interesting events is the once-every-decade performance (or set of performances) of Little Women put on by the Concord Players, which started in 1932. They are running on weekends in April and May. I went in 1992 when I was 10, and I loved it! I already have tickets for this year, and I'm very excited to see it again. Here's the link for the Concord Players: http://concordplayers.org/
