Lea - that might be a topic for narrators. How do you handle taking over a series midstream? Some have been successful (KMM Fever series) and others not so much.

And the Fever series is a good comparison. I welcome any other suggestions.

Oh boy HOWDY can that ever be a source of angst and stress (well, at least for me - LOL!). Lea, if you ever do a narrator panel, this would be a great question, as many of us face this. Just finished narrating the last in the Warriors of Poseidon series - Heart of Atlantis, by Alyssa Day and it was a psychological challenge to step in for book number 8 after the first seven books were narrated by someone else. But I had a BLAST anyway. Some of the most fun I've had all year :)

I have considered another Narrator Forum since the first was such a hit over at Speaking of Audiobooks but I'm searching for an effective way to hold an audio forum rather than written. I'll keep this in mind when we finally get there!

This is one narrator change I'm very happy about Xe! :)
Ilona Andrews and Renee Raudman are both reaching out to Recorded Books about the narration of Steel's Edge and Kate 6/Magic Rises - http://bit.ly/XcsPK3
Now for Recorded Books to step up and show they care for their customers by paying attention to the author, narrator and fans!

Well that's good to hear, on both counts, Brenda! I hope that Recorded Books is able to retain Raudman for the Andrews books, as she has become the voice of the series for so many listeners.
As for Heart of Atlantis, hope you'll love it! Look for a "sneak listen" release to coincide with the print release on Monday, 12/4. Sadly, audio will not release until the end of December (blame me - my schedule held us up).

Will I find the sneak listen at your Soundcloud account? Guess I'll go find out... :)

"Renee emailed this morning. She and Recorded Books have reached an agreement for the next three of our titles. :) We would like to extend our thanks to both parties for their patience and willingness to work with us and for taking the wishes of the fans into consideration.
Recording begin in late January/early February.
Yay!"
I agree - YAY!!!!!!!

See? The power of listeners! This is absolutely FABULOUS news!!

...and why yes, there IS now a clip of Heart of Atlantis over on my SoundCloud page :) Although the audio version won't release until later this month, I released a clip today, in conjunction with the print release. Enjoy!

This sale is for EVERY FRIDAY IN DECEMBER. Yippee!

I loved When You Give a Duke a Diamond in paperback and can't wait to listen to the second book in the trilogy, If You Give a Rake a Ruby!

February 14th marks the beginning of a very special Valentine’s Day event at AudioGals sponsored by Tantor Audio.
We’ll share the details on Thursday but in the meantime, start thinking about why you listen to romance. It could get you some goodies.
For more info stop by AudioGals!

Books available for pre-order at audible seem sort of hit or miss. Often they aren't available at all until it is released or maybe just before that date. But I noticed the other day that there was one I could pre-order that won't be released until the end of next month. I wouldn't be concerned if it is a series that is usually available in audio, it will probably be available on the release date or soon after.

This is the only thing I found related to Frost Burned on audio.

I just listened to the audio sample and I'm feeling underwhelmed.

I agree. That audio sample was not very good. And I was looking forward to the Shana Galen books, but they have the same narrator.

Jennifer Ashely said in her newsletter that I received today that she had been told there would be a audio version of The Seduction of Elliot McBride, but she cannot get any details from her publisher on what is going on with the title and has her agent looking into it.

That's too bad, I hate when they change things in the middle of a series! You never know what you are going to get...

My opinion on the Lauren Dane narration on Brown Sibling series. I think Tantor is going to see a lot less than they could have on this series with the current narration. This breaks my heart.
