Dodie had opinions about climate change, if you could catch her outside the house.

In fact, Eustace had been left behind thirty-four times. Beulah wept, as she always did.

R417 and D920 somehow got separated from the rest and, after running from a warlike race known as the Eries, as the dismal howl of the wolf echoed in their finely fabricated ear canals, befound themselves at the Cuyahoga Pinochle Club and Men's Historical Society Spring Formal.

As Betty practiced her campaign speech, in Latin, Dildor wondered if raspberry came out of silk damask, and also why his loins tingled so. Was it Betty's toes, or merely the prospect of a plutocracy extending for two more millennia?

Blaze wished he could explain to Louie that putting Vera on his back sideways without a saddle would merely result in her landing in the ditch in a pile of her own petticoats, but alas, he was only a horse; Louie and Vera would have to figure this one out the hard way.

message 1578: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Much to Blaze's surprise, Vera not only held her balance riding sidesaddle but indulged her passion for fly fishing in a nearby stream.

Sarah | 13814 comments #1737 Queen Charlotte's insistence that one could flyfish for horseflies suggested that she was a little unclear on the concept. When she suggested that her armsman bring her a kingfisher, everyone knew she was in for a big disappointment.

With bird and beast alike, they scavenged the fish and fashioned a moving vestibule of sorts. They carried the great burden to present to their matriarch.

message 1584: by Jonathan (last edited Nov 29, 2012 06:51PM) (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Before receiving the promised deputation of the fishy vestibule, Grande Matriarch Vivien was obliged to rebuke one of her footmen, Carruthers, who had been found after hours nipping at the cooking sherry...again.

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments #1745:

Seeing that Gerrit, the local poultry vendor, had arrived at the tavern in a state of dismay, his best friends--big Jaap and little Joop--inquired into the source of his distress.

"I brought two plump chickens to town with me to sell at the market tomorrow morning," Gerrit moaned, "but I see now that one of them is terribly ill. Whatever will I do?"

"No problem," said Jaap. "Make soup out of the healthy one to help the sick one get better."

...to which Gerrit just shook his head in disbelief, as little Joop pointed his finger and laughed.

(Love the Toorenvliet, btw, Susan.)

Can't see it either, SP.

You do not want to meet Ed, at least not in Sock Puppet form, Jonathan. *sigh*

No, Susan is FOR SURE not Ed. It was just a momentary lapse of reason due to extreme paranoia. I think she forgave me a while ago...at least when she grappled with the last troll.

message 1599: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Oh, yes, all is forgiven. However, I will say I was not exactly aware of how bad of an insult it actually was to be called an Ed. I have since read a few past threads involving a Mitzi, Rock and perhaps an M(?). It is all incredibly frightening to think of someone creating that many personae to populate threads.

message 1600: by [deleted user] (new)

I know? Get a life, right? The time and energy involved, just to screw with people and make them not like you. What kind of twisted misery is that?
