Hi, my name is Karen and I have been lurking for a bit. I'm from NJ and am sort of retired at the moment so I've been reading and buying books like crazy to keep busy. I read and buy just about every genre but my favorite is mysteries. I love reading about what everyone else is reading and adding to my TBR list. Do I have a book addiction, LOL?!!

hahahaha!!!! I miss the food from Jersey!! Did you know they don't have Drakes Cakes out here!!! WTH??? How can a girl survive these winters without Devil Dogs!!!
Hi Karen, I'm a Jersey Girl too. Originally from North Jersey, I'm now living in the central part of the state, near the Delaware.We can still get Drakes here. And Tasty Kakes too!

I love them!!!! My poor kids have never had them!! I feel bad for them! LOL I can go to www.mybrands.com and get them but I'm not paying 5 dollars for one box!!
They don't have Taylor Ham here either--can you imagine!! When ever we go back to Jersey we always go to the Point diner in Fairview and get taylor ham egg and cheese on a awesome hard roll!! Oh yeah and also have to order french fries and brown gravy!!! :) I'm so hungry now!!!

OMG Karen, you wanna make me cry!! Deep fried Hot Dogs!! Have you ever gone to Hirams in Fort Lee???
They have the best deep fried dogs!! The snap when you bite into them-OMG!!!! I miss the Hot Grill with the big bucket of pickles-LOL!!! They have the best chili dogs!!
I used to work in Clifton right where 46 and Route 3 come together!! I ate some of the best food there!!! :)
NJ may be the butt of alot of jokes but we know we have great food and wonderful diners. It's been fun chatting with you today. Sorry if I made you miss NJ.
